A Welcome Addition To My Collection

The Liberte 2 is a cute little vibrator that produces decent vibrations. It's not my favorite toy, but it's one that I like to keep close to the bed. It's just perfect for those days that my stronger vibrators are too much for me.

Use

The Liberte 2 is part of California Exotics Couture Collection. This is an adorable, all white, silicone vibrator, and it'd be a decent choice for both beginners and advanced users. Size queens, however, will not be pleased with the small size.

This toy is suitable for vaginal stimulation. There is no g-spot curve to this vibrator, so don't expect to get a lot of G-spot stimulation. Also, this toy is kind of tiny, so it can be difficult to thrust hard and deep with. It is nice for some shallow thrusting, however. You could also use this toy for clitoral stimulation -- just don't expect pinpoint stimulation, as the rounded head does not allow for that.

If you like, you can also stimulate other areas of your body with this toy. It feels nice on the nipples, and you could even stimulate the exterior of your anus with this toy. Whatever you do, just don't insert this toy inside of your bum; it's small and it has no flared base, so it's really not safe for that.

Material / Texture

This toy is made out of silicone, with the exception of the battery compartment cap, which is made out of plastic. Silicone is a very body-safe material, earning a rating of 10 on Eden's safety scale. It is hypoallergenic, non-porous, phthalates-free, and latex-free.

This is a matte silicone, so it does have some drag to it. For this reason, I would suggest using a water-based lubricant if needed. There is a little texture on this toy in the form of little spirals, but I can't feel that texture at all during use. So, if you prefer texture, this isn't going to be for you.

For the most part, this toy is very firm. The head does flex a little, but the rest of it has no give at all.

There is no taste or odor to this toy.

Design / Shape / Size

This is a very simple vibrator. It's 6 1/2" long, with only about 5 1/4" of that being insertable. It's about 1 1/4th in diameter, so it's very slim. Due to its small size, this isn't going to be the best choice for size queens, but it will be a good choice for those who don't enjoy girthy toys. Personally, the size is a little small for me, but it's still enjoyable.

The design of this toy is very simple. It's a basic vibrator that is almost completely straight. The toy does have some swirly designs going down the sides of it, but that texture can't really be felt internally. It's pretty much just for show.

This toy is not discreet as it looks like a vibrator, but it is very small. So, it can easily be hidden, and I'd have no trouble traveling with this toy. If you do travel with this, just remember to take the batteries out of it first, so that it doesn't accidentally turn on during your trip.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy operates on 2-AAA batteries, which are inserted into the bottom of it. The batteries are inserted simply by twisting the cap off, and then putting the batteries in -- nothing complex at all.

There is a little button on the battery compartment which controls the vibrations. The button lights up red when the toy is on, and seems to flash the setting that you have on. For instance, if you have it on a steady setting, the light remains stable. On the other hand, if you have the vibrator set on a pulsating pattern, the light will flash.

This toy has seven settings. The first three settings are steady, constant vibrations. The next four are patterns; there's a roller coaster pattern, long pulses, short pulses, and then one that has two short pulses followed by one long pulse. The vibrations are somewhat powerful on the highest setting, earning 3 vrooms from me. They're a little on the buzzy side, but they're not too buzzy. I generally hate buzzy vibrations, but the ones here don't bother me at all.

To turn the vibrator off, you need to cycle through all of the vibration settings. There's no simple button to hold it down. I would have preferred having to just press the button for two seconds, but it's not a huge deal. This just means that you really have to be quick about cycling through the patterns if you happen to get interrupted during playtime.

This toy is waterproof, and it does have an O-ring. I have used this toy in the shower, but I am somewhat hesitant about fully submerging this toy. It just doesn't seem to have a very tight seal, so I'm not confident that it would hold up under water. If I start to like this toy a little less over time, I'll try placing it under water. For now, I like this toy too much to risk it.

Care and Maintenance

As this toy is waterproof and made out of silicone, it's easy to care for. You can use your favorite toy cleaner, or you can use antibacterial soap and water. You could even use a toy or baby wipe, if you like. I tend to stick with just soap and water, and that gets the job done well. If you want to fully disinfect the toy, you could use a bleach solution on it.

For storage, I remove the batteries, and then place the toy in a little pouch inside of my toy box. The toy is silicone, so it does attract lint and dust like crazy, so I definitely recommend using some sort of pouch or bag for storage. Even with the pouch, you're still probably going to need to give this a quick rinse before each use.

As for lubricant? You can water-based lubricant without any worries. This being said, I have used silicone-based lubricant with this toy without an issue.

Packaging

The packaging was disappointing. It was just a basic box with a photo of the toy on it. The toy itself was just kind of thrown in the box. Sure, it had a little foam bag around it, but there was nothing to keep it from banging around in the box during the shipping process. So, really, there's nothing to keep it from breaking -- which was surprising.

Experience

The first time that I tried this toy, I thought it was terrible. I tried it for about 20 minutes before I threw it aside, almost writing it off as a toy that just wasn't meant for my body. A few weeks later, I decided to pull it out again, and this time... well, it felt lovely. Now, this is a toy that I really like, even if it's not my favorite.
