Bliss - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Vally

The Bliss by Evolved is a fantastic vaginal thrusting vibrator. The size is perfect, in my opinion. It is not huge -- the insertable length is 5 3/4" -- but because it is a hard plastic toy, that length was about perfect. You can use it for clitoral stimulation, on the nipples, on your partner, but because the base is not flared it is not a toy for anal play.

Because of the size and ease of use, I think this toy would be fantastic for beginners, but bulges may take some getting used to. I don't think I would recommend it as a first toy because of this, but once you are ready to start experimenting with shapes this is a great toy.

The Bliss by Evolved is non-porous and phthalate free. It is a hard ABS plastic with a soft, velvety smooth surface. This vibrator is extremely rigid; it does not bend.

I noticed a slight chemical like smell when first opening the package, but after a good washing that smell has not returned, at least not that I can detect.

If you like hard plastic toys and want to experiment with some different shapes, this is an excellent place to start.

When I first saw the Bliss I was a little disappointed with the size. 5 3/4 insertable length looked small, but after the first use I was quite happy with it. Because this toy is not curved for G Spot stimulation and is made from a rigid material, I just don't think I would have found using a longer version more comfortable. I also like the diameter of the toy because of the bulges; it really allows you to feel the bumps and valleys when thrusting.

Speaking of those bumps and valleys, I found them extremely exciting. They are rounded enough that while they do drag against my pelvic bone, I have not hooked it with this toy. I have some rigid G Spot toys that you have to be very careful with because you can hook the pelvic bone when thrusting, and it is not pleasant. However, this toy does not seem to pose that risk.

I do highly recommend using lubrication when using the toy and taking it slow until you find out if you like the level of stimulation when thrusting. It is an aggressively shaped toy, and while I love it, I could see where others might find it uncomfortable for hard thrusting.

The one major drawback is the placement of the power button on the base of the toy; it is easy to turn it off when you are thrusting.

The Bliss has 3 levels of vibration. I found the low setting to be too low, the medium setting good for teasing and initiating play, but mostly run this vibrator on high during use. The high setting is strong enough to excite me; while not the strongest vibrator I have ever used, it is decent.

The controls are a simple push button on the base of the vibrator. With each press the vibration levels go up. After the 3rd step up, the next press turns it off.

The Bliss is waterproof; however, I prefer not to play in the water -- just a personal preference -- and I have not tried it out in water.

While the vibrator is not super quiet, if fully inserted and under the blankets I think someone in the same room would have trouble hearing it. However, that is not really feasible for a thrusting toy, so you'll probably want to make sure the bedroom door is closed.

It seems to be pretty easy on batteries, especially if you take them out when it is not in use.

One of the fantastic things about hard plastic toys is that you really do not have to worry much about them. You can wash the Bliss in soap and water or antibacterial toy cleaner before and after every use, and because it is waterproof you do not have to worry about water ruining the toy.

The texture requires a little more attention than slick toys. The velvety surface tends to hold on to things a little better, and you will want to make sure to clean well around the bulges.

This toy is ABS plastic, which means you can use any lubrication you want with it. You can also use it in conjunction with silicone toys. It will not degrade the silicone toy, but if you do, make sure to use a water based lube.

I absolutely love Evolved's packaging. The Bliss comes in a lovely tin with swivel locks on either end. Inside the tin is a plastic form that cradles the Bliss perfectly.

These boxes are so fantastic for storage and so cool, they would make a great gift for a bachelorette party or even just a special surprise for your partner.

While the boxes do have a window on the top that allows viewing of the toy and Evolved's logo on the side, I think they could be stored on a shelf with out too much concern. While not as discreet as some of the higher end packaging, this packaging is fun and cool, and I love it.

I was not sure I would like the deep bulges and valleys on this vibrator because of other reviews that I had read. However, it turns out that I love it! I love the texture for thrusting and the way the bulges feel against my pelvic bone.

I am not a stranger to rigid toys. In fact I really like them a lot more than the flexible ones. I did take it slow with this one at first, though, because of the unique shape. I found that the sensation is a lot better if I use plenty of lube. Just about every time I use this vibrator I squirt.
