Did Someone Order a Vibrating Spoon?

Aside from the unique design, the Scoop is your basic waterproof vibrator. It offers a number of intensities, but the vibration pattern is all the same. It is better geared toward beginners, and also works well as a massager/stimulator for other areas of the body.

Use

The Scoop is a clitoral stimulator that works well in a number of situations. It could double as a g-spot stimulator, though I found my insertion attempt to be awkward due to the shape of the head. I did enjoy the nipple stimulation the toy can provide, and I am sure it would work well in other areas such as the neck. The curve and wide head of the toy makes it a great fit in between the labia.

You can choose to use the Scoop for solo or couple play. The first time I used it alone, and it makes a great toy to masturbate with. It pairs nicely with a g-spot stimulator to double your pleasure. It can also be used while your partner is penetrating you. Its unique design makes it great for those that have trouble orgasming during the act of sex. The handle makes it easy for you to hold it against your clit as your partner enters you from the front or back. Beginners would probably receive more pleasure from the Scoop than a more seasoned toy user.

Material / Texture

The Scoop is made of hard plastic that has absolutely no give. This helps to make the vibrations even more intense. Lubrication is also recommended because of the hardness of the toy. The rubbing can start to become uncomfortable if you are not completely lubed. It does have cute little sparkles contained inside the material though, which makes me happy to play with the Scoop. There are no odors or tastes with this product.

I am in love with the non-porous design of this toy. The entire shaft and head is smooth, except for a small dip on the inside of the "spoon." The groove helps give a bit of uniqueness to the stimulation received by the clitoris. If you place your clit just inside the groove, the toy seems to envelop it with tantalizing vibrations. The back of the head works well for stimulating other areas of the body.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

I really love the unique design of the Scoop. It offers a long handle that makes it easy to guide the head of the vibrator around the vagina. It also allows your hands to stay out of the way if you are using the toy during sex. The slim style of the toy makes it easy to run all over your vagina as well as other areas of the body. If inserting the head of the vibe, it would work well for beginners. The toy is a bit long to hide easily, though it could probably pass as a back massager if the owner were to be questioned about it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations of the Scoop are located in the head of the "spoon." There are a range of speeds available, since they are controlled by a dial. I found that the dial is a bit hard to turn, and you almost have to stop playing in order to change the speed and intensity. The lowest setting is good for a warm up or during foreplay. Further into the session, I was able to turn it up and use it comfortably at about midrange, but I have a somewhat sensitive clitoris. More advanced users would likely be able to blast this baby at full speed.

The waterproof function works well on the Scoop. You can have fun with it in the shower or bath, and it still runs just as it would if you were outside the water. What I liked most about this feature is that I could quickly and easily clean it when I was done.

2 AAA batteries are needed to power the Scoop. I didn't really care for that, since most other vibrators I own run off AA's. I actually had to make a trip to the store just for these batteries. That wasn't fun when I was ready to play!
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

The Scoop can be easily cleaned with mild soap and warm water. There is no need to worry about getting it too wet since it is waterproof. Allow it to air dry before replacing it back into its package for storage. The hard plastic and non-porous, so it is not difficult to clean. It works well with oil, water, or silicone based lubes.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Scoop comes in clear packaging that is not the least bit discreet. It had a half dressed model on it like many of the adult todays do nowadays. The instructions were a tiny sheet of paper with no wording, but 4-5 different drawings of how to put the batteries in. The paper must be standard for a lot of the company's toys, because I had to locate the one that looked like the Scoop in order to know how to insert the battery. The packaging easily pops open so that it can be reused to store the toy in when not in use.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet

Experience

The first thing I thought when I got this toy in the mail was that it looked like the tiny mirror dentists use to see inside your mouth. After removing it from the packaging it and holding it in my hands, I concluded it was more like a spoon because of the groove in the head. I washed it with soap and water before the first use. Starting on the lowest setting, I guided the head of the Scoop around my clit. I found that it does snuggle the clit, just as the package states. I love the shape and size of the head, as it fit well in between my labia and was easy to move around the exterior of my vagina. After about ten minutes of slowly teasing myself with the lowest intensity setting, I turned the difficult dial to halfway and orgasmed.

When my husband and I used it together, I held the head of the Scoop directly on my clit as he entered me in a missionary position. The long handle of the Scroop makes it very easy to use while being penetrated. Since my hands where not in the way as they would be if I were using a bullet vibe, my hubby was free to move around with nothing in the way.

Using it in the shower for a lot of fun, and it performed wonderfully in the water.

After use, it took about two minutes to clean the Scoop, again with mild soap and warm water. We let it air dry before placing it back into its original package for storage.
Follow-up commentary
I still use the Scoop every now and then. It is my favorite toy when I want something that hugs my clit and provides a great deal of stimulation to the area.
