extreme pure gold blindfold and g-string - bdsm kit discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Tuesday

While this product amusingly has the word 'extreme' in its name, its actually more suited for lightweight or regular vanilla uses.

Wear the blindfold for purposes where complete vision blockage isn't needed.

The thong can be worn for a bit of entertainment during foreplay with or without a bullet tucked into its pocket.

Both blindfold and thong have a sparkly, gold fabric as the most visible part. Its described as a 24 Karat leopard blindfold and G-string. It is not obvious from the photo of the set on this site that it sparkles. Both the gold and the orange parts sparkle. The black portions of the leopard pattern are velvety. The fabric itself is a bit stiff.

The elastic on the thong measures only 11 1/2 inches across if you lay it out flat. Its firm elastic too. So it accommodates users who measure 23 - 30 or so inches around if you measure around at the level where your hipbones stick out in front the most. It fits quite snugly on this small size reviewer. If you don't consider yourself to be small, if not extra small, this set will not work for you.



The same sizing applies to the blindfold. One of its two straps fits around the head above the ears. The other fits around the head below the ears. My head is 21 1/2 inches around and this blindfold is a snug fit for me.

Considering that neither of these items will probably be worn for a long time, this is probably ok as long as you're a small person.

The blindfold has a thin layer of padding and black, synthetic fabric on the side that rests against your face. Edging the blindfold is black, vinyl-like material. Each elastic strap is 1/4 inch wide and 10 inches long. the blindfold itself is 7 1/2 inches wide.

The thong has a 3/8 inch wide elastic strap that goes around the wearer's hip and another elastic strap that comes up from the bottom of the thong and wraps around this strap in the back. It is not adjustable. The inner side of the thong has a soft, knit fabric stitched in place with red thread. There is a pocket on the lower half of the thong with an elastic loop to hold a bullet in place if you want to use it with one.

The set does have a faint new-fabric chemical smell to it. It looks durable. The leopard print fabric on the thong does have raw edges exposed, but this is not a fabric that will unravel easily. I don't see the raw edges as a problem. You won't notice that unless you examine it closely.

With the blindfold in place, you will be able to see if you look down. Perhaps users with flat noses won't have this problem, but I was unable to position the blindfold to prevent myself from being able to see when looking down.

The blindfold also pressed against my nose during use, not so much that it was uncomfortable, but if I had worn it for a long time it would have been.

The thong fits tightly, even on small women. You will not want to wear this under clothes both because its much thicker than undergarments and because tiny pieces of the gold part of the fabric will come off it something rubs against it with firm pressure. Gold bits don't fall off by themselves - only where firm pressure and rubbing occur.

You can insert a bullet into a nicely designed pocket for that purpose in the thong. It actually still fits nicely with the bullet in place. The bullet stays where it should. There is an elastic loop inside the pocket to make sure of this. The bullet is in the exact right spot when its fully inside the pocket. I had assumed that the thong wouldn't fit well with a bullet inside the thong but it actually still looks cute and only sticks out slightly with a bullet inside.



You will not have to worry about a camel toe with this thong. Its much too stiff to allow that.

No care or washing instructions are provided. Should this need cleaning, I would suggest wiping it down with a damp cloth.

It can be stored in a nightstand or underwear drawer. It will not need special protection and will not cause harm to other lingerie it is stored near.

It comes in a simple white cardboard box with a photo of a woman wearing the blindfold on the cover and another photo of both pieces by themselves on the back.

I can see this set being a fun addition to play under the right circumstances.

You will not want to sleep wearing the blindfold. It is not comfortable enough for that use.
