I'd rather be dry apart

I'd rather be dry apart than wet together with these products. They say they are water based but they are silicone packed, so be careful with your toys. Even with all that silicone they dry you up more than many water based lubes and faster too. This lube was a painful experience that I will not be rushing to have again. I do not recommend this lubricant to any user.

useful review
I've used a lot of lubricants and these are at the bottom of my list...for several reasons.

1) They do not do what they say they are designed to do: They did not stimulate me or my partner in a pleasant way (unless you find burning pleasant). 2) Ingredients: If I have to Google them I tend to stay away (see list below). 3) There are better, less expensive lubricants on the market. 4) I question its water based claim.

The lube in the pink bottle is applied to "her" and the blue to "him". The one for him has almost no odor, which I like. I do not want my lube to smell like anything. Sadly, the one for her has a REALLY STRONG peppermint smell. You would think that this would lead to a tingling sensation...it does not. His is supposed to warm him up and hers is supposed to make her tingle. Neither does its job.

THE INGREDIENTS

HIS: This says in English that it only contains Glycerin but in (I think it's French) it says Glycerin--a chemical that attracts moisture to your skin (but can be really bad for women prone to yeast infections) and Tocopheryl Acetate--a naturally occurring antioxidant that is a form of Vitamin E.

HERS: Dimethicone: This is used to prevent the drying of skin. It is a silicone product.
Cyclopentasiloxane: This is a silicone based compound; may be associated with environmental toxicity in animals, low amounts have already affected uterine functioning.
Dimethiconol: Silicone based polymer
Phenyl Trimethicone: Phenyl Trimethicone is a silicone that has a drier finish than Dimethicone. It creates a protective barrier on the skin.

Tocopheryl Acetate: This is a naturally occurring antioxidant that is a form of Vitamin E
and Peppermint Extract.

Okay, so that's 4 silicone based ingredients and NO water. I'm confused as to how this is listed as a water based lube when there is an awful lot of silicone products but no actual water.

I've never been a fan of his and hers lubes because I find they never really work. If you enjoy them maybe you'll want to try this product. The hers was just painful to use and I do not suggest it to anyone. The his is fairly harmless as long as you do not have a sensitivity to glycerin (I know a lot of people that do though).

If you are looking for the his and hers tingling/warming sensation this product will not do it. While there are other his and hers on the market and here on Eden, due to only poor experiences I can not send you in one direction or another. If you are just looking for a good lubricant, please refer to my page to see other reviews I have done.
Experience
You would think that with so many silicone ingredients designed to keep you moisturized that this lube would actually keep you moisturized. Instead I felt the need to reapply but didn't want to use this lube to do so. It started to burn almost as soon as we started going at it. If you are a sensitive female, I'd stay away from the hers.
Follow-up commentary
I will be the first to admit this is not my best review ever. It was hard to write a review on a product I really didn't enjoy but I should have taken more time to write it. There has been a lot of controversy over it and I apologize for that. I would also like to apologize to arewehavingfunyet and oldman as I now know that they were just trying to help me. And Arewehavingfunyet should be personally thank for pointing out specific things that my review was lacking the first time around, i have included several of them here in this follow up. Since the first one didn't go so well, I figured it'd be best if I just did it over again. And yes this does mean I did use the products again. New partner this time. Same problems.

Use:
While these lubricants can be used separately they are designed to be used together. The goal is to create warming and cooling sensations that create "magic" when they mean. They failed.

Feel:
I must say it was a pleasant surprise that this lubricant did not get gooey, however because it runs out so quickly and dries up almost instantly during intercourse, the fact it doesn't goop up isn't much of a bonus. There is no sensation to the his product, however the hers burns due apparently due to the peppermint oil (sorry for not making that connection the first time) Very very painful

Ingredients: I will say again that this is a hybrid lubricant so please do not use the hers with silicone products as it has many silicone based ingredients.

I was always taught that if I didn't have anything nice to say I shouldn't say anything at all, and that is how I feel about this lubricant. However, people have a right to be informed that this product does not do what is advertised, that it is not water based entirely and that when the "hers" makes contact with the skin that the experience is not pleasurable. I have removed both from my collection.
