Freestyle - traditional vibrator discontinued by OhMiBod - review by LucyLemonade

The Freestyle is best used for clitoral and vaginal stimulation. Because it does not have a flared base it is not anal compatible. The vibrations are fantastic and just holding it my hand makes my palm all tingly! This is a great toy for beginners, but those scared of high vibration might want to play with the transmitter to keep the vibrations low.

The best use of this vibrator for me is alone in bed with lots of time to lay back and enjoy myself. Since this toy works with your headphones, you might want to lock the door though! I think it would also be fun to use as a couple. One individual can wear the headphones and use the vibrator on their partner, then have them try to guess which song is playing by the beat!

The OhMiBod Freestyle is made of body safe ABS in a dark fuchsia with a velvety soft texture. It feels excellent in the hand and more upscale than smooth plastic vibrators. Soft texture of the Freestyle made lube optional instead of necessary which is great for beginners. The Freestyle has no scent, but a slight rubber taste which is not that unpleasant. But I don't think this a toy you'll want to waste your time licking though, because the vibrations would shake your teeth!

The Freestyle is 8" long and 1 1/8" in diameter making it a great toy for beginners but still an excellent stimulation for advanced players. The vibrator is more a slim line style, no curves, bumps, or ridges to get between you and your favorite music. The design is well made with even a small cap that fits back into the socket that the charger fits into to keep it water safe.

The Freestyler has a travel safe mode, making sure that the vibrations don't occur until you want them to.

I have fallen in love with my OhMiBod Freestyle. Simply for the fact that it is an entirely new way to experience music. And for those of us who might be obsessed with certain musicians, it's one step closer to having them with you. What could be better than relaxing, listening to your favorite sexy singer in your ears and feeling the beat internally as well?

This toy is rechargeable. It can be plugged into the outlet and the indicator will turn red, then green when fully charged, which takes about 2 hours. The vibrator can then be used for up to 5 hours before needing another charge. The transmitter requires batteries which come with the kit.

The Freestyle has some fairly intense vibrations, but in order to get those it does make a bit of a ruckus. It's a small price to pay, so if you're looking for a discreet, silent vibrator, this probably isn't your cup o' tea. But if you want to have an intense orgasm listening to industrial music, it will become your favorite toy!

Other than the functionality of picking up the beats from your iPod and turning them into vibrations, the Freestyle has 7 programmed vibration patterns. They go from consistent vibration to an almost jackhammer!

The vibrator works by plugging your iPod into the transmitter, then your earphones into the other side of the transmitter. A simple dial clicks it on and sends wireless communication to the vibrator. You can vary the intensity of the transmission using the dial. The vibrator itself has a dial which must be turned to music setting to work, the other settings are the 7 patterns, and travel or "off" mode. These are easy to decipher as they show as a square (travel), a music note, and the number "7". Once you have your iPod or any mp3 player set up with the transmitter, just turn to the music note and press play!

Because of the mechanics of the Freestyle, it's not a waterproof toy and shouldn't be used in bath or shower, or submerged.

Care for the Freestyle is simple, just soap and water and a nice dry. It can then be put in its own cute carrying case to keep from from dust. Freestyle can be used with lube - I prefer water-based for easy clean-up. The Freestyle's velvety texture is better than some rubber or silicone toys as it doesn't draw lint, so a simple towel dry can be done instead of air-drying like other toys.

OhMiBod tends to have beautiful, simplistic packaging. It is an excellent gift with silver writing and a full scale picture of the vibrator on the cover. On the back is information showing its best attributes like its warranty, phthlates-free material, and rechargeable capabilities.

Inside there is a plastic case with OhMiBod plastered across the top - this is your carrying case for the vibrator and transmitter with foam inserts to keep them safe. Also included are the charger, and adapters for US/CA/JP, EU, UK, and AU/NZ. So it's perfect for international travel, just take the plug you need with you!

The only issue I have is that you can't just put the charger in the plastic carrying case and take the smaller case in one unit. The charger would have to be carried in your luggage in a separate compartment.

I really couldn't find any complaints about the Freestyle. After I read the instructions I let my new toy charge while I set to work making an "exploratory" playlist for my iPod shuffle. I mixed different kinds of music including pop, industrial, rap, and goth. And then had lots of fun experiencing how different songs worked with the vibrations. I'm excited to make custom lists for my different moods. Whether I want a fast paced, hard hitting orgasm, or a softer relaxing climax that builds slowly for a lazy afternoon.
