Fishnet knee highs with ruffle and bow - hosiery by Leg Avenue - review by ~LaUr3n~

*Intro:

Sometimes your partner surprises you with things they like or want to try. I was just searching for cheap things to get as gag gifts and since these are reasonably priced my partner commented on them while looking over my shoulder and making remarks about silly gag gifts. "Woah woah...what are those?". After showing them to him and telling him that I thought they looked silly, he convinced me to use some of a gift card balance to get them. I didn't think I would be, but I'm glad he did.

This piece from Leg Avenue is a pair of knee high fishnet stocking with attached lace garter style top. They are closed toed and really comfortable, but not great for the plus sized gals.

*Material:

These are made of 88% Nylon and 12% Spandex. The fishnet is very comfortable and the lace isn't irritating. The fishnet is also very stretchy but keeps its shape REALLY well. When I take them off it looks like they could fit an 8 year old.

*Design/craftsmanship:

They feel really well made and high quality. The fishnet is soft and the lace is thick and not easily ripped. They are knee high fishnets with a thicker nylon band at the top to keep them up. This is covered by a few round about layer of white lace. There is a thick band of black satin in the middle keeping them securely attached to the nylon band. Pulling at all of it, I was impressed with the sewing and craftsmanship.

*Cleaning/care/storage:

You need to hand wash these knee highs in cold and mild soapy water and then hang them to dry. Don't ever bleach them. You can put these in a washing machine if you put them in a pillow case. You should still drip dry afterward.

*Sizing:

Right off the cardboard strip these come on, I thought "There is no way these are fitting around the tops of my calves!". I put them over my arm and they fit around my FOREARM! I was in the middle of telling my boyfriend that I needed to be an anorexic to wear these when he urged me to try them on. I was surprised at how much they stretched and comfortably too!

These come in a one size fits all, but there is no sizing guide for stockings...as usual! So I'm here to help. These will fit a calf (right below the knee) up to 14.5" comfortably. Mine are about 12" around. I have firm calves from 14 years of dance so you may want to take your muscle mass into consideration too. I can also pull them up above my knee to be about where a garter would be. I prefer to wear them lower though.

Even if these don't fit you calves...you can still use them! just cut thumb and hand holes and you can wear them on your arms. My boyfriend thought this would look hot too.

*Conclusion:

I'm giving this 5 stars because they were very comfortable to wear, they are well made, my boyfriend finds them hot. I also think they would fit like 90-175 pounds (guesstimate) comfortably.

I wish these came in more colors and varieties. I love them! Not only are they comfortable and fit really well, they look so damn cute and sexy! If one of my costumes is a maid this year (which it might be), I want to be able to wear these since they don't match a whole lot of my lingerie.

They have no frayed or run in any way and can actually go through the wash in a lingerie bag although I only did this once.
