Le Reve Me Up!

I definitely reached orgasm with the Le Reve so my criticisms of the toy are just suggestions for improvement really. It did work but took a little longer than normal even for my other G Spot toys and I think it was because it is so smooth and slick it doesn't provide any sort of textural stimulation. I do like the toy and will definitely keep it in the collection.

Pros
Fantastic shape and wonderfully designed control panel

A little too slick for my preferences and I wish it had more options on vibration patterns.

Use

I have to admit it was the shape of the Le Reve that attracted me, the curve looked similar to the shape I put my G Ki in when I want to get both G Spot and clitoral stimulation. I was right it is the right design for stimulating both for me.

In order to get stimulation to both G Spot and Clit you almost have to rock toys like this rather than thrust with them. I know women are all built differently but for my body this shape is fantastic, it hits all of the right spots.

There is a bit of a learning curve for using these types of vibrators, but it is more in learning about your own anatomy than learning the functionality of the toy. Just explore and find out what works for you.

I think this is a good beginner level G spot vibrator and especially for women who do not like a lot of textural stimulation, the Le Reve is smooth and slick and glides well even with out lube if you get a little wet first. I also think that due to the price it would make a great gift for a bachelorette party.

Material / Texture

The Le Reve is made from a hard plastic, it is non-porous and phthalates free. It did not have any scent to it at all and the plastic is very smooth, shiney and slick. The Le Reve has no texture on the surface at all so if you do not like textured toys this one is for you.

I think beginners would like the texture, it would not be too over stimulating at least. The Le Reve sort of reminded me of the old style hard plastic, dial adjustment classic vibes that were given out at bachelorette parties in the 80s. It seems like those had ridges on the shaft though and the Le Reve is super smooth and sleek

I personally found it a little too slick, I think adding a cock ring or two around it could help it a great deal so I will throw a couple of them in my cart the next time I shop.

One thing I did like is that there was little need for lube with the Le Reve. However, I think it would be problematic to hold on to if you did use lube and got it on your hands or the base of the toy.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

I love the shape of the Le Reve and I really love the control buttons on the base. The angle of the base and the concave design of the base and control area really take away a lot of the accidental button pushing found on many toys where the control is on the base of the toy. Because of the angle of the base you are not using the button area to control thrusting the toy and even if your fingers slip a little the buttons are somewhat lower than the rim of the base making accidental button pushing less likely to happen.

The Le Reve is a good size for me, at 7 1/2 inches with a 5 inch insertable length it is about perfect. Because of the curve of the toy I think if it were any longer it would be uncomfortable when fully inserted. The diameter is 1 3/8 inches and I believe that measurement is taken at the largest area of the toy which is near the base. I love that it gets wider near the base, it makes for easier clitoral stimulation.

While the Le Reve is almost futuristic looking, the sleek design and shiny surface make it rather pretty, I don't think you could pass it off as anything other than a vibrator. So the design is not real discreet, I guess more so than a realistic dong though.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The material the Le Reve is made from transmits vibrations well, they seem to travel the length of the toy. As mentioned above I love the design of the control panel to avoid accidental speed changes.

The Le Reve has 4 speeds of vibration with no patterns or other variation other than intensity. The highest level is decent, but I wish it were stronger or had some variation in patterns. The vibrations are deep and not real buzzy.

The controls are very easy to use: one button turns the vibrator on and increase the vibrations and the other decreases them and turns it off. It requires 2 AAA batteries which are easy to change once you figure out how to replace the end cap. It has two tabs you have to line up and they are not the same, so getting the base in the right position to put it back on took a couple of minutes the first time.

The Le Reve is not all that quiet, it can easily be heard if you are in the same room with it and even under the blankets it is audible. You should be safe behind closed doors though.

The Le Reve is listed as water proof, and I did run water over the control area on accident while washing it. I made sure to open it up and check it out afterward and everything inside that I could see was dry, the toy still functioned so it is at least that waterproof. I did not submerge it though and to be honest I don't know that I would.

    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

One of the nice things about hard plastic toys is that they are easy to clean. The Le Reve is super easy to clean because of the slick hard plastic it is made from. Things do not stick to it too badly and it cleans up nicely with soap and hot water or antibacterial toy cleaner.

You don't have to worry about storing the Le Rev with other toys, the material it is made from will not be affected. I store it in the same box with my G Ki, they both fit since I took the plastic tray out and it saves on storage space.

The Le Reve is compatible for use with toys made from any other materials as well as the lube of your choice. I prefer water based lubes but silicone lube will not damage this toy as it would a silicone toy.

Packaging

The Le Reve came in a thin card board box with a plastic insert. I thought the packaging was too cheap to use it for storage. The box had photos of the toy on every surface so it really was not discreet. Since it is a box you can wrap it for gift giving easier than wrapping a blister package though. I would just plan to store it in something else because I don't think this packaging will hold up. At least it is recyclable.

The Le Reve did not have any instructions included with it, but it was pretty simple to figure out how to put the batteries in. Do pay attention though, the battery carrier has directional markings on it that were kind of hard for me to see and it looks different than your average battery compartment, so the first time I put the batteries in I got them in backwards.

Personal comments

If you don't need a super high powered vibrator or patterns or a lot of texture I think the Le Reve will be a great addition to your collection. I found the vibrations to be adequate but not strong enough to bring instant orgasm, getting the orgasm took some time, but I wasn't in a hurry anyway.

Experience

I tried teasing myself with the Le Rev at first with the vibrations on low, but ended up jumping to the highest setting pretty fast. The lower ones just did nothing for me. The highest setting was deep and throbbing and I did enjoy the way it felt on my clit, nipples, and internally.

I have found with the Le Reve and other G Spot vibrators that rocking the toy, bringing the base up in a curve so that it rubs against the clit, works better than thrusting it, because of curve and material the Le Reve is made from it glides easily and required no additional lubrication.

It took some time to reach orgasm with the Le Reve, but for me it is the nature of the G Spot toys that it takes a little more time, it is definitely worth the effort as I can generally get a combined orgasm if I am patient.

The Le Reve was a little too slick for my preferences, I think adding a cock ring to it in the future will help a great deal and can not wait to try it.

It's a shame this one doesn't have multi functions, that seems like that might be the ticket to making it a really awesome toy.
