Lexie's vivid dreams - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by badk1tty

So this toy is touted as a G-spot vibrator, but it wasn't for me. Then again, most vibrators of this shape or material aren't going to even come close to hitting my g-spot, since I require a lot of pressure, and toys like this are generally very flexible.



Lexie's Vivid Dreams has actually been in my collection for about 4 years now, and still runs pretty well, or at least as well as it did when I purchased it. See, the thing with Lexie, is that I got her before I stumbled across EdenFantasys, and long before I knew the shape of toy that worked best for my body. I had written off toys working for me vaginally, and all of my toys were just purchased with the hope that the vibrations could do something for me. Lexie ended up doing her job well enough, until I realized that I need power and curve, neither of which she has. So, sadly, Lexie has been retired after a long life of taking an excruciating amount of time to get me off.

Once again, before I stumbled across EdenFantasys, I didn't know a lot of things, such as "you don't want to buy Jelly vibrators, since they're terribly hard to sanitize". I know these things now! Lexie is, sadly, made of jelly, however the years have been kinder to her than many jelly toys that I've seen. She's not peeling away from the handle, and doesn't have any visible tears in her, although she has accumulated some gunk in her seams, and will be needing a thorough scrubbing with a tooth brush (or just a trip to the dump).



The tip of Lexie is curved just slightly, that also has a little nub on the opposite side of the tip, to provide stimulation on either side. There are also 6 tiny little nubby "suction cup" looking things that run down two sides. I don't notice the texture of these at all internally, nor do I notice the little cleft on the back or the curved front.

The entire toy is very flexible, and can be bent around a good bit -- though it's not so flexible that it makes it hard to use.

This jelly toy is 8.5 inches in length, with about 6' of it being insertable. It's got a 5' circumference, and is nearly the exact same length at the head as it is at the shaft, so it doesn't gradually increase or decrease in size. Due to it not having a flared base, I would avoid using this for anal (especially because it's made of jelly).

I don't entirely understand the texturing on this toy, and it doesn't seem to be for anything more than aesthetics. Internally, you cannot feel the ridges or the lines (or, at least I cannot), nor can you feel the little side bumps. The head is supposed to be curved for G-spot stimulation, but it falls very short on this for me. It's long enough to reach it, but it's not shaped properly, nor is it a firm enough toy, to have any success in that department for me.



I actually found myself trying to line the bullet up for clitoral stimulation when I was using this toy, because since the bullet is located near-ish to the head, that's where most of the vibrations come from. However, the vibrations tend to be buzzier than I prefer, and the bullet is smaller and surrounded in jelly, so even for direct clitoral stimulation, this puppy fell short.

This toy may work for some people just fine, but it didn't work with my anatomy. That being said, it would be a nice beginners toy.

As stated, the bullet is located near-ish to the head of this toy, so that's where most of the vibrations stem from. However, the controls do not make this easy to turn on or off. This does have a variation of speeds, ranging from low to high, with the dimmer switch on the side controlling the vibrations. However, the dimmer is not exactly the easiest thing in the world to use, especially if you have lube or fluids on your hands from use. You have to either wedge your fingers between the little "equals sign" things and press and turn, or push down and try to use pressure to turn it. It's certainly not a very functional knob, and I would have much preferred it just be a turn controller at the bottom of the toy instead of trying to be fancy and cute, and just not working.



Sound wise, it's not a very noisy toy, so that's a plus, especially if you share your home with people you may not want listening. Unless you have obscenely thin walls, this will easily be muffled by a closed door and/or a blanket. That being said, it's not very noisy because it's also not very powerful. It's enough for those who are sensitive to too much vibrations, but for those who like a steady, deep vibration, this one won't cut it for you. It's not the high-pitched buzz with pinny sensations, but it's not rumbly or thrummy, either.

This takes 2 AA batteries, and actually has a fairly nice battery life, so it's got a good quality or two, too.

Being jelly, this toy is not going to be something that ever comes truly "clean", even with soap and water, a toy sanitize, or anything else. Since it is waterproof, you can use a soap and water mixture, a baby wipe, a toy cleaner, etc. Due to the motor, avoid the heat of dishwashers or boiling. In the event that you do share toys, always use a condom for this, -especially- if you're going to use this for anal (which I absolutely do not recommend, due to it not having a flared base).

This toy also attracts grime in the seam between the base and the shaft of the toy, and also around the outside of the little nubby "tentacle" things, so if you aren't covering this toy with a condom, make sure you scrub those problem areas very well.



Seeing as it's not made out of silicone, you can keep it in a drawer, toy box, or any other place you'd generally keep toys. It is also safe to use with all forms of lubrication. This toy is not sticky, so it's not a lint magnet, either.

This toy came in a plastic see-through box, with some safety information inside. The toy was in an additional plastic "shell" to keep it from moving around in the box. It's rather large in comparison to the toy, though, so I didn't keep it for storage purposes. The outside also has who I assume is Lexie on the cover, wearing just about nothing, so this toy is not discreet at all.
