Nice Jelly, Good Jelly

Overall, the Petites No. 8 is not a bad toy for being jelly. It is about average in terms of strength and price, but it could be an option for beginners who like the feel of jelly toys.

Use

Yes, I said it. I paired a positive word with jelly (ducks tomatoes and pitchforks from the jelly haters). While it is made of the 'cursed' material jelly, the Lucid Dream Petites No. 8 (for now on, referred to as just Petites No. 8) is a G-spot vibrator. It has the standard curve and tip designed for G-spot stimulation. It can also be used as a teaser toy and can be a clitoral stimulator.

Being jelly, the Petites No. 8 cannot be sterilized. If you decide to use it for anal play, be aware that it does not have a flared base. Be mindful when using it, and put a condom on to cover the toy from bacteria. This will keep you safer from bacteria and let the toy last longer.

The Petites No. 8 can be an option for beginners and those just testing out G-spot stimulation. The toy does flex, so I wouldn't recommend it for ladies who want firm, consistent pressure on their G-spot. It's also fairly discreet, so this can also work for those who live with others or don't have enough privacy. Even if you have a roommate, the Petites No. 8 is waterproof, so it can be taken into the shower.

Overall, this is an option for those who like Jelly toys, or are beginners looking for a softer G-spot toy.

Material / Texture

The Petites No. 8 is made of Jelly. Yes, it's jelly. Yes, it ranks only a 2 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. It cannot be sterilized and should not be shared among partners. Despite cleaning, the toy is porous, so bacteria can thrive inside it. To extend the life of your toy and reduce bacteria, you can use it with a condom. Or if you hate using condoms, you can take good care of the toy (if using it vaginally) and use it for a year or so before it dies.

The Jelly is a pretty good quality compared to other types I've seen. It is smooth, doesn't really collect lint, and doesn't leave any residue on your skin. It does have a bit of an odor, but it doesn't assault you. It also dissipates after some washes.

The texture is beginner friendly. While smooth, you can add a bit of lube for an even smoother glide. The textures present come from shape more than anything.

The Petites No. 8 is quite flexible. It can be good for those who are just trying out G-spot stimulation. If you need firm, consistent pressure with your G-spot toys, this one won't work for you. The Petites No. 8 isn't super flimsy (it does stay straight when you hold it sideways, for example) but it can bend.

Design / Shape / Size

The design for the Petites No. 8 can be considered futuristic or cheap, depending on the user. It is fairly transparent. You can see the wires and motor (bullet) inside of it. While you can easily see it, it is not as easy to remove it.

The Petites No. 8 is an average size overall. It has a total length of 7 inches with an insertable length of 6 inches. It is on the thinner side of girth, coming in at 4 inches in circumference. Still, this toy is not that intimidating and can be used by a beginner. Here's how it sizes up compared to other g-spot toys within a similar price range.

From left to right: Diamond Spot Vibrator (not good), Cute G (okay), Shiny G (eh), Lucid Dream Petites no. 8, Dream Massager G (best of the bunch), and Pretty Pearl G Spot (pretty good).

The Petites No. 8 is okay to travel with. It can be placed in a bag or purse easily enough, just take care to wrap it so it doesn't get seen. It's also discreet in terms of sound, with a highest Bee of 2. You won't be heard beyond a closed door. If a TV or fan in on, it drowns out the sounds of the vibrations.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls for the Petites No. 8 are operated by a turn dial on the base of the toy. Turning it puts the toy on its loest setting. Crank up the dial to turn up the vibrations. The motor is easily visible and looks like a standard bullet. It's located at the head of the toy, where the vibrations are most desired. At its highest, the Petites No. 8 comes in at about 3 Vrooms. 3 Vrooms is usually strong enough for the average or sensitive user. Power queens will not be interested in this one.

The vibrations can barely be felt at the bottom of the shaft or near the base, so your hands won't get numb from the toy. The vibrations are between buzzy and rumbly, but are probably more buzzy in nature. The Petites No. 8 takes 2 AAA batteries to work. There is also an o-ring protecting the battery cage, making it waterproof.

Care and Maintenance

Again, while jelly can't be sterilized, cleaning it well will extend the life of the toy. Soap and water are your friends here (a mild soap, as well). You could also use toy cleaner or wet wipes, but nothing too caustic to damage the jelly. Once dry, the toy should be stored in a cool, dry place. Jelly toys should be kept separate from silicone toys, because they could contaminate and damage them (material reactions).

The Petites No. 8 doesn't really collect lint. This makes it a nice jelly toy compared to the others.

Packaging

The packaging is a basic plastic box. It is not discreet since the toy is in plain view on it. The box showcases the qualities of the toy. There were no additional instructions in the box.

I think there are better quality toys for a better price that you can give as a gift. But if you have a friend who like Jelly toys, then this could be an option for them.

Experience

I'm tempted to take apart the Petites No. 8 to see if I can access and use the motor. Since I probably won't use the toy again, this is something I might do. I don't hate the toy, it's just that there are better toys I have and would prefer to use. I do also like that the toy is transparent. I think they can be nice and cool looking if they're done right (or look right).

My partner, very used to all the toys I have acquired, didn't even raise an eyebrow when I showed him this one. He sad "another one you're going to throw in the bag?" The bag is where I keep the toys I'm not ready to throw out but am probably not going to use. The most frequent use these toys get is being a part of a comparison photo. Still, there are worst toys out there. I could just care less about this one, honestly.
