Wrist length lace gloves - glove discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Trashley

Celebrities have been seen EVERYWHERE wearing this product. You may have seen one of my favorites, Leona Lewis sporting these in a (I believe) cotton commercial. I couldn't find the picture online, but here's a picture of Nicole Richie wearing a pair:

While they may not be exactly the same, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Whether channeling old Madonna or modern Hollywood class, you can do it with these. There's some beautiful mesh work going on in these gloves. There are fairly symmetrical flower shapes all interconnected by an ivy-like string of leaves.

There's a lot more pattern in these gloves than the pictures show. From the pictures, they look almost see-through where there isn't any mesh. That's DEFINITELY not the real case, here. They're very obviously black (or white), and there's not one part on this where I can see through to the lightness of my skin.

There are pretty obvious seams on where the thumb connects to the gloves and where the two sides of the gloves connect, going up and down the tops of your fingers. I'm 99.8% sure they're made of cotton, but don't hold it against me in court if it's not! They're not stretchy in the slightest, but the mesh does lend it some give. The cotton's nice for the most part; it's a pretty obvious choice.

While the mesh is beautiful, it doesn't quite hold up to every day activities. I've worn them only three times and already I can see strings dangling off. While I'm criticizing these little guys, I should let you know that you can't use the touch pad on your laptop or touchscreen on your phone in these. I'm used to that with normal gloves, but I sorta figured these would be different since there's less fabric separating the warmth of your hand that the screen, but oh well.

There's also the issue of scratchiness and size. I never found these gloves to be itchy per say, but I can see that some people might get annoyed around the wrist area if you work with your hands all day. The twisting and turning and subsequent light brushing of the gloves against your skin might drive you crazy.

And.. the size. It's much too big on my palms, about a half inch too big. This makes the fingers be about a bit more than a half inch too long. It looks like I have creepy black fingernails! If I pull the gloves down towards my wrists constantly it fits all right, but I usually don't have the time, and I don't particularly like looking fidgety anyway. The index and middle fingers are about 4" long, which should give you a bit to go by. The thumb is about 2 1/2 or 3" (I don't have a ruler nearby right now, I'll try to pick one up at CVS and edit later). The palm is about 5" and these guys go down the wrist about 2".

The scratchy all over texture of these gloves is great, however, for tactile pleasure. I love the feeling of these gliding over my nipples, stomach, and thighs, and trust me, you and your lover will too. I wouldn't recommend them wear during masturbation or on the face, because they're pretty rough. I like pain during sex, but this would be more equivalent to.. discomfort and a bad rash.

The sad thing is that these babies come completely without any packaging at all, which is why I couldn't tell you what they're made out of. They're really cranking these things out on the cheap! It's good and bad. You'll go through them quickly, but at least they're inexpensive to replace.

Of course they're travel friendly; they don't particularly look like a sex toy, because, well, they're not. They're just plain old, shmexy gloves. Well, maybe not that plain. They're absolutely darling and pretty unique -- great for a gift, too. They're guaranteed to get you noticed, but be careful that you're not putting your hands on anything that'll catch! And of course, be prepared to sew if you've got small hands like me.
