Tighter, Stronger, and Prettier in Pink

The Veronica is pretty, straightforward (if you know how to use it!), and totally does what a kegel exerciser is advertised to do! The only downfall is that resin, a plastic like material, is not something you can boil for sanitation. But if you're looking for a cute product that serves well as a dildo as well as a PC muscle work out, you've found a pretty solid product!

Use

The Veronica is one of two new weighted pelvic exercisers of Dr. Laura Berman's intimate basics line. Distributed by California Exotics, this pretty light pink toy has delicate curves and a slight curved g-spot pleasure tip. Inside the resin material there are three different sizes of stainless steel balls (they also appear to be different weights, the larger bulb the heaviest).

If you are unfamiliar with this kind of product, the Veronica, and its sister the Marilyn, are designed to work much like the famous Kegelcisor to strengthen the pelvic floor or kegel muscles. The theory is the three interior calls, connected by the smooth resin, buldge out ever so slightly. Based on your experience with PC exercise, you choose which bulb feels like the right amount of resistance for your body. Then, you insert the Veronica vaginally to past whichever bulb you are using as the resistance point. Following that, you squeeze your PC muscles tight around the toy and attempt to remove the toy despite the resistance created by the bulb.

The Veronica is marketed with a g-spot tip so it is indeed intended for use as a dildo, vaginally or even possibly anally. The two different tips on the Veronica, one slightly flat and pointy, the other bulbous and round, are capable of both finding and pleasuring the g-spot and the p-spot. However, as far as using this toy anally, you do have to be careful. The texture is not incredibly stimulating as the bulbs are very slight. Also, this you gets very slippery all lubed up, and there is nothing to prevent the toy from slipping inside, so be very careful if you experiment with it anally!

Material / Texture

The Veronica is made with three stainless steel balls for resistance, all coated with a shaft made of RESIN. Now, I've never heard of this material before, and I couldn't find the Eden safety rating on it, so I did some of my own personal research.

My first impression of the resin was, "Oh, this is kind of like glass." It has a glass like appearance and feels slightly like glass with it's smooth finish. However, it also feels like plastic. In either case, it is a very hard, rigid material with no give.

Research revealed that resin is ultimately a form of plastic. Plastic is of course a EIGHT on the Eden scale. Interestingly enough, resin isn’t really a plastic a all from the technical sense. It’s compound consists of mostly organic ingredients found in plants and trees. What we commonly see in figurines is actually a synthetic resin. This synthetic resin has similar properties to ABS, but it is more brittle. So although it doesn't feel too plasticy, Resin is indeed a form of plastic!

This toy has a basic texture with a range of weights and uses making it great for both beginners and advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

The Veronica is clear, but comes off almost a light pink color. It is 7 1/4" long, with 5 3/4" insertable length in either direction. It has a circumference of 4" at it's widest points and 1 1/4" in diameter. Although it has a fairly discreet design, it weighs about one pound so it might be heavy to throw in a purse!

Unfortunately, if you are new to using this sort of kegel exerciser the box offers NO information on how to use the toy as a kegel exerciser. Instead, it briefly describes Laura Berman's relationship with Oprah and states how kegel exercises can improve your sex life...which we all know, what we want to know it how! If you want more information on HOW to use the Veronica, skip down to the performance section =D

Personally, I quite enjoyed the weight of the Veronica for resistance training on my PC muscles. I have noticed the difference in the strength of my orgasms in the one week I have been using her. I use this toy about 15 minutes a session, twice daily for kegels. To use this toy you insert it vaginally, tighten the PC muscles, and then pull against the toy while simultaneously pulling against it internally with your PC muscles in the opposite direction. It will work wonders!

This toy is suitable for beginners to advanced users, well designed delicate curves, pretty light pink color, and packs a punch for exercising those PC muscles as well!

    • Ergonomic

Performance

According to the packaging, Dr. Laura Berman (often featured on Oprah) developed the Veronica to be ergonomically weighted to tighten and tone Kegel muscles. Unfortunately, the box does not tell you HOW this is suppose to occur. Nor does it state the different weights of the interior balls or what you should do with it! Thankfully, I have used a few different kegel exercisers of this general design and I was able to figure it out!

Care and Maintenance

As with any plastic toy, mild soap and water or toy cleaner will do for cleaning! Unfortunately, it is not listed on the box that this toy is medical grade which means that you CANNOT boil or fully sterilize this toy. But it is body safe, unscented and phthalate free!

Fortunately, although it isn't ideal because it can't be sterilized, this toy is easy to store and doesn't attract too much lint! It doesn't come with a storage bag, but I found a little satin bag and store it in that in my nightstand very discreetly.

Plastic (and RESIN) toys are compatiable with oil, silicone, and water based lubricants and are pretty body safe!
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

I would be disappointed in the lack of information on USE that the packaging contains if I was a beginner with kegel exercisers. Because simply using the Veronica as a dildo isn't going to get you the results the kegel exercise promises. The box is not incredibly discreet, but it is cute and pinkish, fully recyclable, and you can take a look below!

Experience

I really enjoy my Veronica. Although I would like to purchase a glass toy kegel exerciser, or a different material that I can boil. However, overall, I have been nothing but pleased with the product. I feel that this kind of kegel exercise gave me even fast results than kegel balls. Probably because you have to take the time to really focus on it for 15 minutes or so a day. For a Cal Exotics toy I was actually rather impressed with the quality, and I would likely suggest the product to others.
