For those who love powerful, rumbly vibrations, unique patterns and a large girth--the Key Vela is the ticket! It is a very large sized vibrator, made for size queens and those who love an extremely full feeling during penetration. Deep, rumbly vibrations penetrate the area it is used on very well and will stimulate you easily to orgasm.

When inserted, the deep rumbles penetrate and rub against the G-spot and can create a very powerful orgasm. I had a hard time thrusting with this due to the large size of the shaft, but was very pleased with the sensations created while twisting in after it was inserted. The huge girth was a bit too much until I was very warmed up, but the fullness was satisfying during orgasm.

Clitoral stimulation, nipple play, sensory teasing and exterior anal are all fun and exciting uses for the Vela. Anal penetration is NOT recommended due to the lack of a base. Couples can enjoy this together and separately for teasing and massaging each others body. Smooth, hard plastic makes up the base. Vela's shaft, though, is soft, semi-flexible, velvety, silicone. Silicone rates a 10 on the material safety scale due to its non-porous material that is also hypo-allergenic and anti-bacterial. It can also be fully sterilized.

There is a definite drag to the material, adding to the sensations of this velvety and luxurious material. The drag can cause some irritation from friction, so a bit of water based lube is advised. Of course, for penetration it is almost a necessity! The plush material is somewhat flexible and has a slight squish that adds an erotic and satisfying stimulation when used for internal insertion and external stimulation.

There is no taste or smell to the vibrator. The size is not recommended for those liking smaller vibrators, but the material is recommended for any user. Beginning users can use this as an external stimulator and sensory teaser if it is too large for penetration.

Vela is a big girl, measuring 8 1/4" long and having a girth that goes from 1 3/4" by the tip down to 1 1/2" at the base. You can insert it to about 6 1/4". The tip is rounded, but still has a slight point, so care during thrusting must be taken.

This is not a discreet, easy to hide toy. It will easily be identified as a vibrator if spotted by someone else. You can travel with this if you have a large enough place to keep it or enough room in between your clothing to hide the Vela inside. I would also suggest twisting the base off to remove the 4 AAA batteries required for vibrations.

The button used to change the vibration patterns is located on the bottom of the base. This area is flattened and is cut at a diagonal, leaving the silver push button exposed and easy to find. There are seven patterns.
These patterns are: 1.Steady vibration - 2.Fast pulsations - 3.Low to high escalation - 4.Steady pulsation
5.Throbbing pulsation - 6.Short pulse and pause 7.Low to high steady vibration.

Turning the vibration off is easy, just press and hold the button in for a few seconds. There is no memory, so the vibration patterns start at 1 when you turn the Vela on again. You will have to cycle through to your favorite pattern.

The vibrations are deep and rumbly, penetrating the area it is used on very well. They are felt the strongest around the top area of the shaft, but travel well to the base area. There is a little sound but it is safe for those in roommate situations.

Fully waterproof, you are free to use this in the shower, tub and other fun areas with water. The water does not dampen the vibrations and add to your sensual experience when it is swirling around your sensitive areas.

Wash thoroughly in warm, soapy water. Use a soft bristled toothbrush to gently scrub the grooves in the silicone shaft and rinse completely. You should air dry the Vela, but you could use a chamois cloth to dry the soft, velvety silicone. This is not as big of a lint magnet as other silicone, but it will pick up a bit if it is dried with a cloth.

I always go back over my items with a high quality toy cleaner for added safety. This material can be sterilized. You can soak the shaft in a solution of 10% bleach and water, but do not submerge in the water. I would not recommend boiling, microwaving or putting this in a dishwasher due to the motor.

The Vela can be stored in the original box, a toy pouch-which is included, or other means of keeping it separate from other soft materials. Silicone can have chemical reactions with other items created from silicone, TPR, PVC or silicone. You absolutely need to keep it separate from all jelly materials! These may melt onto the Velo and make it permanently unsafe for use.

Use only water based lubes to prevent deterioration of the silicone and finish due to chemical reactions. I have tried a silicone lube with a cheaper silicone vibrator in the past and had the finish get rough and patchy looking.
