"You Shook Me All Night Long"

This update to the OhMiBod line still has a few kinks to be worked out, but is, all in all, a great vibrator to own, especially for music lovers.

extremely useful review
The Freestyle G by OhMiBod has a slight curve at the tip to stimulate the g-spot. It doesn't have much girth to it, but that's not what the toy is about. I had always been interested in OhMiBod products since first learning about them (before the Freestyles came out). The original had a long cord coming out of the bottom, which was very off-putting. But *drumroll* then came the Freestyle vibrators. No cord, and the "you must crank your mp3 player to crazy high levels to increase the intensity" issue (from reviews by others) seems to have been resolved with the help of a dial on the transmitter, which is hooked up between the mp3 player and the ear buds. This dial is to help control how much of the song is picked up.

For the most part, this transmitter and dial does resolve that issue. Occasionally, however, I will still need to crank my music a little past the comfortable hearing level to make sure it picks up enough of the song, even with the transmitter dial at max. It doesn't happen so often that it's a problem (I just let the earphones fall to the side of my head when it does happen), but it's something to note. Also, I'm not sure if it was just my experience, but occasionally there would be a clicking sound in my earphones, and no vibrations would occur (I was using it with my 6th generation Ipod Nano and the accompanying earphones). When this would happen, I would just need to turn the transmitter off and on to fix it. Still not a big problem, just a warning in case it happens during your first time using it and it freaks you out too.

The layout of the vibrator is fairly simple. At the bottom, there is a part you flip up to plug in the charger. Make sure to not get any fluids there when cleaning or using it, since this jack prevents it from being waterproof. Above the charging jack, there is a metal ring. This is your selection dial. There are 3 selections: Off (stop symbol), music mode, "7," which represents the 7 vibration and pattern choices. You can alternate these by pressing the + and - buttons between the ring and the jack. Unfortunately, there's no way to jump from 7 to 1, for instance. The "7" mode almost seemed louder than the music mode. But at the same time, that's probably because I was listening to music in music mode, which detracted from the noise of the vibrator. I'll admit I haven't used this mode often, but the vibration patterns near the end do seem very nice. Speaking of loud, it's very hard to nail down a bees rating because of the alternating intensities. At its loudest, it probably could be heard through a closed door. At other times, not so much.

The material is a plastic, but it's still soft on the surface with a nice feel to it. It is also very easy to clean with soap and water. This also means that it carries vibration well throughout it, and boy does it ever. If you've experienced vibrators where you can only really feel vibration in the base and felt sort of let down by this, fear not. This is not that vibrator. The g-spot curve doesn't cause any kind of inconvenience, in my experience. By carrying vibration, it only helps the experience.

I haven't tested the limits of its ability to hold a charge, but it definitely lasts. As in you can use it for hours and still go on for more. And it will keep you enticed for that amount of time with the right music. I'm personally starting a playlist just for this vibrator.

I know the price can be quite worrisome to some. I personally started a discreet vibrator fund among friends for this when it was on sale for $96 versus $120 and raised $75 of the cost, "for a good cause" as my friends put it. Very happy I did (and that I have wonderful friends). I love music, and this definitely changes the way you can experience music. It may not give you an intense internal orgasm at first, but it'll definitely get you to an internal orgasm with a good song. Strong beats/drums/riffs help.

The Freestyle comes in 3 kinds: Traditional, Rabbit, and G-spot. I definitely recommend some sort of Freestyle vibrator for any music lover or audiophile.
Experience
In my experience, these are good songs for the Freestyle G:
-"I Feel Love" by Blue Man Group featuring Venus Hum, as well as Blue Man Group in general.
-AC/DC songs, such "You Shook Me All Night Long" (of course!), "Touch Too Much," and "Let Me Put My Love Into You."
-Aerosmith, namely "Rag Doll."
