Cock ring discontinued

For Your Most Valued Parts

Not a bad pick if you're looking for your first cock ring or just want something very basic and cheap. You get two rings instead of one which is a nice little bonus. Both rings are VERY stretchy, so whether you're big or small, it's going to fit.

Use

The MVP Lovers Award cock rings are pretty much the basic of the basic when it comes to cock rings. They are two supportive TPR enhancers meant to help you last a little longer during sex or masturbation and can be used with or without a condom. I think these would be a really good choice for someone who has never used a cock ring before and is looking for their first. It can be used around the penis alone or stretched to fit around both the penis and sack. It can be put on before or after getting hard. These are not going to add any sort of stimulation for a partner because they're just not shaped that way, but they should help you last a wee bit longer.

Material / Texture

Both of the rings in this set are made completely of a soft, stretchy TPR material. The TPR is phthalates- and latex-free, so no worries there. They both stretch really well and snap right back into shape once released. One of the rings has a band that is completely smooth all the way around while the other is made up of a series of small round bumps. I think the bumps are suppose to add a little texture during use, but because the material is so soft and squishy I didn't notice it at all. I also didn't notice a scent on either of the rings.
    • No odor

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The two MVP rings are pretty similar. They have very slight visual differences (one has a bumpy ring band and a small tail while the other has a completely smooth ring band and no tail), but the differences are, again, so slight you won't really noticed while in use (or I couldn't tell, anyhow).

The hole in the center of each ring is about 3/4" in diameter when they're not stretched and stretches up to more than 4" in diameter. Definitely more than enough room to use around the shaft alone or around both the shaft and the testicles no matter how large or small your package is. I found the ring with the textured band to be a little easier to stretch, but they both stretch the same amount in the end.

Both rings in this set are round with sparkly TPR "gems" at their tops to mimic a stone in an actual ring. The set we got had one ring with golden sparkles and one with silver sparkles. The gems don't add anything extra to the performance of the rings. They're simply there to add a little color and a bit of visual appeal. I thought the jewels in the top might come out, but unless you're pulling on them constantly, they should stay in place with no problem.

Both rings have a little notch on the inside of the ring centered at the bottom. I unfortunately have no idea what that's for. Maybe they have some divine purpose and maybe that was just the shape of the mold. I can't say for sure.
    • Can fit over both shaft and testicles

Care and Maintenance

Because these rings are so simple they are very easy to clean. They should not be boiled, but instead washed under warm water with soap. You could also use a toy cleaner. TPR is compatible with both silicone- and water-based lubes, so you can use whichever you prefer.

I store my MVP rings in the plastic packaging they came in because that's easiest for me.

Packaging

The packaging these rings came in is a simple plastic case that isn't worth keeping. There's a little cardboard insert as backing inside with a picture of a smiling couple on both sides. The insert has the name of the company and product as well as a little blurb about the toy being "designed for comfort and performance," but like most toy packaging lacks cleaning or care instructions.

I do have to give it props for having a warning at the bottom letting you know not to wear it for longer than 30 minutes at a time and letting at least 60 minutes go between each use though.

Experience

These are the first cock rings I've used that didn't vibrate. Because of that, I found these two to be a little...boring? Don't get me wrong, they work fine and look nice, but I guess I'm used to having the extra zing in my rings. I was pretty impressed with how well they stretch. I didn't need to use any lube to put them on since they stretched so much, which was a good thing. I found that when I did use lube it made them turn to the side a bit, but since I didn't need them to stay in one position to stimulate my partner, it made no difference. Most of my cock rings move a wee bit from the thrusting and lube anyhow so it's not like anything is wrong with these.

One thing I like about these (and all rings like this) is how "beginner" friendly they are. The material is super stretchy, so you know no matter what they're going to fit you. You can put them on at any point you choose (hard or not). If you decide you don't like it after all, it only takes a few seconds to take off (unlike a stiffer plastic or metal ring). You're not assaulted with the vibrations right off the hop, which means you can decide how much you like the actual ring itself. The point is to last longer, and I sometimes find that vibrations can work to an opposite effect. They're simple, they're soft, and they're very, very easy to take care of and clean up. They're also fairly inexpensive. There are definitely other rings that provide more restriction and a nicer fit, but as a starter ring, I would say go for it.

I wish I could have given this 3 1/2 stars, but since I can't, I gave it the 4. If the gems in the tops were secured better I think they would deserve the whole 4.
