Now You Can be an MVP too!

Two, count them, two rings made completely out of unscented, phthalate free TPR. Each has a unique “jewel” on top that, although it isn’t very realistic, does add to the overall look. The TPR is very stretchy which means these are easy to get on even if one already has an erection. Once in place they do restrict blood flow enough to both strengthen an erection and delay ejaculation to some degree. At this price, you could collect all four!

Pros
Two rings in phthalates-free TPR, easily stretches to put on.
Cons
“Jewel” doesn’t look all that good, don’t mess with the “jewel” or it will come out.

Use

The MVP Lover’s Award cock rings are almost refreshing, really. A stretchy cock ring without all the bells and whistles you get when it comes with a vibrator. It’s easy to put on even if you already have an erection and it fills its intended purpose pretty well. The ones sent for review have a blue “jewel” on one and a white “jewel” on the other. Maybe the white “jewel” is supposed to look like pearl. Maybe if they did twelve different colors everyone could select their birthstone to wear around their cock. That “jewel” doesn’t really add much to the experience. It does add to the look, but don’t expect any function (you know, clit stimulation) out of it. It’s just too small to hit anything. By the way, the jewel is still TPR just in a different color. This means there are no sharp edges to worry about and it doesn’t bump up against either party. The look of the “jewel” doesn’t stand up to close scrutiny, though, because the “jewel” has a visible seam running through the middle of it.

Material / Texture

Every part of both of the MVP Lovers Award cock rings is TPR. TPR is phthalate free and does not have a scent, so at least you don’t have to worry about that stuff. The “jewel” on each ring is secured with an adhesive. Don’t mess with it too much or the jewel will come out and you’ll be left with a plain clear cock ring. I guess it would still be functional at that point, but the look of these has to be part of the attraction and that would definitely be lost with a big cavity on the top of the ring where the “jewel” would be. The TPR material is very stretchy and resilient as it snaps right back into place after being stretched. Overall, the texture is very smooth, but it does tend to attract lint, so cleaning before and after use is a good idea.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

One of the rings is a smooth circle with a small heart hanging off the bottom. The other ring has a “braided” look to it. They both have a square keyway at the inside of the bottom of the ring which is presumably from the mold that was used to form the rings. This isn’t noticeable during use, however. The heart dangles about a half inch below the smooth ring. I think the intent is to provide extra stimulation to the back of the testicles during movement, but it really isn’t heavy enough to be conspicuous. One ring might have slightly more stretch than the other, but again, this isn’t really obvious during use. They both stretch enough to get into place easily and restrict the penile blood flow to some degree.

Care and Maintenance

TPR is very easy to care for. It is porous and cannot be sterilized, so don’t share your MVP ring with anybody else, but since you have two, maybe you can give on to somebody else. Or, if you’re in a homosexual relationship you can each have one and share the MVP spotlight any time you want. California Exotics does give it the safe and pure seal, however, so at least you have that on your side. Clean them before and after use with soap and water or toy cleaner and you should be able to keep them looking as good as new.

Packaging

The MVP Lovers Award comes in a standard plastic case with card board insert designed for hanging. The front of the insert has a picture of a heterosexual couple in an embrace. The back of the insert has the standard disclaimers and some safety information. It is nice that California Exotics chose to give consumers detailed information about how long it is safe to wear this kind of cock ring and how long to keep it off before it is safe to use it again.

Experience

My experience with the MVP Lovers Award cock rings was decent. I found them very easy to put on. Although there was some restriction to blood flow which did strengthen my erection to some degree and also delayed ejaculation somewhat, they didn’t work as well as a properly sized cock ring made of a firmer material or an adjustable cock ring. This makes the MVP Lovers Award a decent introduction to cock rings, but I think that once a couple has tested the waters a little bit with these, they will want to look for something at little better. The pricing is such that it wouldn’t be a costly experiment, which is nice.

Great review, as usual. These do look like they would be a nice introduction to cock rings. They're not super-complicated, they don't look crazy, and they're, gasp, not jelly! This is definitely going on my list of stuff to recommend to confused newbie friends.

OOOOH a birthstone cock ring...or if they made ones with several stones on a ring they could be "father's rings"! LOL
    Great review!

Now that's a thought, Airen. Mine ring would be getting pretty crowded. I don't know if that's the moment I want to be thinking about my kids though. Big smile
    Thanks!

Hmmm... It seems that the jewel is really flimsy made. Thanks for the review!

You are welcome, mikebooks. The jewel attachment is pretty flimsy, but it is just for looks any way, so it doesn't effect the function of the toy.
