The Grip and Rip Thong is intended to be more a novelty underwear than an actual everyday pair of sexy underwear. Most men do not wear the thong cut of underwear on a daily basis anyway and this will not break that trend. The first thing you will do as soon as you get the Grip and Rip thong is to put them on and see how easily you can "rip" the front pouch down. In fact, the Velcro pouch is perhaps the best feature of these underwear. The Velcro secures quickly and stays put. I wore these for over an hour on three different occasions under normal clothing. Not once did the Velcro come loose when I didn't want it to. Plus, the Velcro doesn't bind so tightly that you have to use more than a quick tug to pull them down. The strap that runs across the top of the pouch provides the perfect "handle" for the pulling too.

The Grip and Rip thong is made of a spandex/nylon blend. It is also silky smooth and feels quite good against the skin. Unfortunately, this silkiness also works against it. Men's hips aren't built like women's hips are. I could not avoid having the thong slide down or move on me every time I sat up or down. You will be constantly pulling them back up or twisting them around if you're wearing them for a whole evening. The other drawback to the Velcro straps is that the front pouch can also twist and move around when you don't want to. If the thong falls down, most men will find that they have the tendency to "fall out" of the pouch. Although the pouch is roomy and comfortable, there isn't enough to the whole thong to keep everything where it should be.

The best part of the thong is it's functionality. However, be forewarned that surprising someone with the Grip and Rip thong could have the opposite reaction than you want. Sometimes, the sight of seeing a man in a thong is so uncommon that it elicits giggles and laughs instead of ooohs and ahhs. Of course, even if the person you want to surprise is caught off gaurd by the sight of you in a thong, I can guarantee that no one will be to resist grabbing it and pulling it down. Hopefully, what happens afterwards, makes the Grip and Rip thong worth the price.

I don't mind wearing the Grip and Rip thong every once and a while as a surprise for my wife. The first time I surprised her with it, I didn't get the reaction I had hoped for! However, we both ended up having a good time. I can only wear the Grip and Rip thong for about an hour and it starts to get a little annoying. Namely, it tends to get "wedged" where I don't want it. Of course, it is a thong, and that's a given. So, if you're not prepared to pay the price of a thong, then be forewarned.

Sadly, this thong doesn't get my wife's engine revving like I would have hoped. Since it's not an everyday piece of underwear, it's been put into storage. Best for a one-time surprise (not the romantic kind).
