The Hot Ride is good for a solo player but can work for a couple that likes to tease one another. The hard plastic shell and the soft interior are a nice combination. It's small enough that you can hold it easily in one hand. The egg is meant to be positioned to stimulate the head of your cock.

The outer shell is hard plastic, but the interior is soft TPE. There is a mild smell that goes away once it has been exposed to air for a while. This TPE is plushy and rather floppy, hence the reason for the hard shell. The interior is textured with a nice feel to it.

The design is that of a toy stuffed into a plastic container. The bottom screws off so you can stick the egg up into the plush part of the toy. While the instructions mention using a ring, the ring is actually made onto the plush part of the toy. You can stuff this ring down into the hard plastic shell, to lock the toy inside, at least during use.

This is TPE, so if you are sharing it, use a condom. To clean, you can pull the plush interior out (remove the egg from the base first!), and clean all around it. This can be done in the bathroom sink, running hot water to flush out any fluids in the toy. The hard shell can be cleaned in this manner as well. You can use mild soap and/or toy cleaner to clean both. Make sure they are fully dry before you put them back together, to prevent mold from growing between the shell and TPE interior.

You can use silicone or water-based lubrication, just make sure whichever you use is compatible with any other toys you might be playing with at the time. For storage, the masturbator comes with a little black bag you can stick it in.

I found the egg to be more of a 'take it or leave it' addition to the toy. For some, the stimulation of sliding in and hitting it might make it feel better. For others, it may come across as more of an annoyance. It basically comes down to personal preference.
