Black knit silk panel short - shorts discontinued by Male Power - review by woofcub

I had yet to own a pair of silk underwear or lounge wear, so when I was eligible for a review assignment from Eden. I was excited to find that they still had some silk ware that had yet to have any reviews on it. I looked through the selections and decided on the Black knit silk panel shorts by Magic Silk.

The day came and my package arrived in the mail, as usual Eden ships in a standard USPS box; so discrete shipping is never an issue. Inside the mailing box was the box containing the silk shorts, inside the display box was the shorts wrapped in a plastic cling wrap type of baggy and inside that baggy the shorts didn’t look too bad.

Upon opening the baggy the first thing that I noticed was how wonderfully soft and smooth feeling the shorts were and how they had a very nice and high quality elastic waistband. Unfortunately this is where the good quality seems to stop, before even putting on the shorts I noticed that the design was unlike any kind of shorts or underwear that I currently owned, the bottom of the shorts, the part between the crotch and ass end seemed a little thin and the part that was supposed to go down and cover a little bit of the legs just kind of bunched up into the crotch.

I figured what the heck it may just be the way they were designed and I was putting too much though into the matter and slipped them on, nope my first assumptions were correct. Although the silk was very nice and felt great rubbing up against my skin the fit in the crotch and leg area left a lot to be desired and there was just something that felt odd inside against my skin which I had assumed to be a plastic tag or a loose thread. This turned out to be a loose thread and I decided to try and remove it thinking it was just a stray one from manufacture, Big Mistake when I tried to pull it out I found it was attached and just like a pair of stockings the shorts started to fall apart. I quickly fixed this by removing the shorts and mending them with the still attached thread and a small needle stitching in and tying off the rouge thread.

Laundering them was pretty easy, as per the instructions on the box I washed them in a gentle cycle with cold water and no bleach or harsh detergents and they seemed to survive the wash, for drying I just tumble dried the shorts for a short time and hung them to dry the rest of the way which didn’t take long, at least they were able to survive laundering for another day.

I would like to say that I loved my silk shorts and that they were very comfortable and durable and well made as well as being very sexy looking. Unfortunately I am only able to say that they only look good when worn and feel good as long as you don’t move too much, as soon as you do the bottom rubs against you in a uncomfortable way and the legs ride up like a jockstrap. Unless I happened to get a defective pair which could very well be I would not recommend these silk shorts.
