Worth Shelling out for

The Ego E3 is a recently new toy from Ego, very similar to the Lux line of silicone vibrating/rechargeable cock rings. Cock rings vary in price/quality and this one is near the top of the line. Being 100% silicone is a big plus, the size of the ring stretches to fit most any male and the seashell shape and size should provide pleasant intercourse (or dildo connected) stimulation to almost any woman. They come in a beautiful blue color, which is a nice change from the drab black and dark flat shades of other brands.

I chose the seashell over the other more traditional options of the E1 & E2, not just for the aesthetics, but because it also seems to me like it would make better contact with the clitoris and is slightly larger with nice rounded edges. This is the ideal toy for grinding with your partner. It fits like a glove in that respect.

The stretchy ring can be worn around the shaft or both shaft and balls, but comfort and fit will depend on your sizing. For me personally, I think it will work just fine on the shaft. I think it might be a bit tight to wear around both.

The material is 100% silicone and is waterproof. The velvety surface, while matte, is very smooth and there are no seams. It reminds me of my Lelo toys bob and liv. The matte texture helps hold the ring in place and not slide around, like some cock rings can.

The ring is stretchy and could fit around a small wrist if stretched to the max, so it should fit any man comfortably. The seashell portion is slightly squishy too, but transmits vibrations excellent.

The E3 is waterproof, so you can take it in the shower for playtime too. You can wash and rinse without care, but I wouldn't drop it in water to boil. You could dunk it and hold it if you must and keep the charge port from being submerged completely, to be safe (or maybe even put electrical tape over the opening?). I don't feel the need to bother with that, since it is not being inserted anally or anything.

I think the shape is beautiful and a nice change from the boring cock ring vibrators that seem uninspired in shape. The nice shape is complimented by the striking blue color.

The ring stretches to fit just about anyone and is comfortable to wear. It is also comfortable for the female to grind on, with no sharp edges. It is a bit bigger than most photos make it appear and that is a good thing. Having more contact room for the female is a good thing.

The Ego e3 comes with a USB charging cord, but if you have an adapter you can plug into a wall outlet (I use one I got with my MP3 player). Once it is plugged in to charge, the LED indicator light will Light up. Once the e3 has finished charging, the light will turn off. It takes approximately three hours to fully charge.

There is a button top of the shell to turn on/control the vibrations. You have to hold it down to change speeds, unlike some other vibrators, where you just push for each level. With the E3 you just hold til you get the desired level of vibration. The button illuminates as well when pressed.

Press once to turn on/off.
Press and hold to vary speeds.
Press 3 times fast to lock/unlock for travel.

The E3 is impressively quiet, even on full blast. Great for those wanting discretion or just less distracting noises when using a vibrating ring.

When charging the light stays on til it is fully charged and then goes off. It takes about 3 hrs to charge and gives you about 30 min use time. That is about the only bummer with this thing.

Ego E3 is pure 100% non porous silicone. Silicone is a 10 on the EF rating scale for safety. There is no noticeable smell from The E3 and it is smooth to the touch with a noticeable amount of drag. The drag can be a plus or minus depending on your preference, but a good water based lube makes it easy to slide on your cock.

The only negative about the material is silicone draws lint and dust, but this is no worse than most any other silicone toy I have used in that regard. However, because they give you a storage box, this is a non issue. Alternately, you could use a baggie or pouch to store it.

Cleaning is easy. Just wash in soap and water or use a toy wipe after sex. It is not recommended to use Silicone lubricant with silicone toys of course, because it can degrade the material. You can however do a spot test at your own risk.

Ego has very nice packaging and Ego E3 is no different. It comes in a nice black case with the Ego log on it and the E3 & Charger rests securely inside within a cutout. It looks very classy and is a convenient storage solution. If left on the bedside table, it wouldn't be obvious what is inside, unless someone knew the Ego brand already.

The box is a nice black cardboard box with the Ego logo imprinted in an understated way, almost as if it were a small cigar gift box. Inside with the E3 there is a an instruction pamphlet and charger. It looks very classy and is a convenient storage solution.

Alternate uses.
Last night it dawned on me how the E3 could be used for other pleasurable needs.
For solo or partner play this could be attached to a glass or other dildo to add vibration and clitoral stimulation for masturbation play.
