Blade - masturbation sleeve by Fleshlight - review by Falsepast

Packaging/Storage: This toy comes in an 8 1/2 x 4 inch box with Fleshlight symbols all over it. The front says "BLADE" above a clear plastic area where you can see the toy's case, and below it are the words "by Fleshlight". The left has the product and brand name again, while the left just has brand name above a picture of the vagina and internal texture of the sleeve. Finally, the back has the product name and the following brief summary about the toy: "Patented SuperSkin feels just like the real thing. Easy to clean and store. Safe, non-toxic, and phthalate free. Blade by Fleshlight is made with our patented SuperSkin material, but unlike our traditional Fleshlight products, the internal masturbation sleeve is enclosed in a soft case. This soft exterior case allows you to grip as hard as you want, giving you an entirely new Fleshlight experience." Inside is a small pamphlet with multiple Fleshlight products and a free sample of "Flesh Lube" along with the toy. Since the sleeve comes in a case of it's own, it is best to allow that to act as storage for the toy, and just hide it somewhere safe.

Look: Blade comes in dark gold case in the shape of a blade's hilt that measures in at 8 1/2 inches long and 9 inches in circumference around the middle of the case. The bottom has a sort of cover that, I believe, is intended to help create or eliminate suction depending on whether or not it is on. The front of the sleeve is covered by a cap made of the same material as the case with a picture of a woman holding a fan in front of a tree next to the words "BLADE by Fleshlight". The front of the sleeve is in the shape of a pink vagina with the lips spread apart. The case itself has a bit of detail put into it, and is not a perfect circle, but more of an oval-shape instead which makes it somewhat easier to grab than other Fleshlight cases.

Smell/Taste/Sound: As other Fleshlights, the Blade has a nasty odor to it that is best avoided. The smell is not strong enough to reach your nose, when the toy is away from your face, but if it comes close to your face, hold your breath. I decided not to taste this, the smell alone acting as a sort of warning not to put my mouth near it. I was actually surprised to find that the Blade is actually noisy. With the cover on the back, Blade makes a whistling noise that gets to be quite a nuisance, especially when you're trying to use it in a house with other people. Without the cap, it is not much better since it makes a sort of slurping noise that sounds almost like a blowjob. The only time there is very light noise with the toy in use, is when you cover the back part with your hand, which can also be a nuisance.

Material/Cleaning/Lube: Fleshlight is made of SuperSkin which is non-allergenic, latex-free, really soft and smooth, and can retain heat. To clean SuperSkin, you can either rinse it with warm water and let it dry or use isopropyl alcohol to clean it. DO NOT use soap because it may ruin your toy. After letting it dry, put cornstarch on it but not talcum or baby powder. One bad thing about this material is that you can only use water-based lube.

Feel: As with other Fleshlight sleeves, the Blade feels very soft...in fact, in my opinion it feels too soft. The texture is there, and I can feel it but the softness of the sleeve really holds back the sensation and prevents it from being all it can be. Although the cover on the back is supposed to amplify suction or remove it, with or without it, the sensation stays pretty much the same and does not have a significant change to it. However, when I hold my hand over the back to create suction, it creates a lot of suction and that is when the texture can be felt best. Unfortunately, it does get annoying having to hold your hand over the top of the case as you move it up and down. It starts to become more of an exercise tool than a masturbation sleeve and can get really annoying and/or tiring. Squeezing the case helps amplify the pleasure, but it can only do so in the area you squeeze. For example, if you squeeze the middle, you only feel the feeling focused and intensified when your penis passes by that singular point, rather than throughout the entire sleeve. The Blade has its moments where it feels great, unfortunately, those moments only came when I was putting in the extra effort to make it squeeze me tight. I'm not above putting in a bit of effort, but without the extra boosts, the sleeve would not have felt very good at all. That's what primarily disappoints me with this sleeve, is that it doesn't really feel good by itself and requires your help to actually feel good at all.

I still don't really see anything too good about this masturbator. I've had far cheaper masturbators that I feel offer more than this toy. The number one problem remains the same for me, which is that the Blade is just too soft to provide any real pleasure.
