Pros
Hundreds of photographs, large format, excellent overall value.
Cons
Nothing to dislike about this product.
Wow, this is one big book! Its width is almost one foot, it has about 400 pages, and it is hardcover. This book is heavy!
The only part when one could find some text is at the beginning of the book (the introduction), and at the end, where a couple of pages present some information about the photographers. In the introduction, which is very brief, we find a statement of the concept behind this book. Suicide Girls started out as a website where, since 2001, girls from all over the world started posting millions of photos. What all these pictures had in common was a rejection of that Barbie Doll beauty ideal, which is omnipresent in the mass media. This book collects hundreds of those pictures, and presents them in a majestic photography book.
By looking at this product, one quickly realizes that this is quality stuff. The pictures have high resolution, and the pages are glossy and thick. But the true value of the book resides in the content: hundreds of young girls from all over the world present their natural endowments, which are often enhanced by tattoos and piercings. Some photographs are soft and candid, others are provocative. More often than not, the nudity is partial. The girls are photographed in interesting setups, often in improvised locations, less often in the studio or in nature.
The book is organized in ten sections, each of them presenting girls from a specific geographical region. We have: California, the West Coast, the Midwest, the South and the East Coast. The other sections present us with girls from outside the US. There are girls from Canada, the UK, Europe, and South America. The last section has photographs of girls from other locations, such as Russia, South Africa and Australia.
Contemplating these photographs is an interesting experience, for this is neither traditional nude photography nor porn; in a way, it is the best of both, with the disadvantages of neither. I highly recommend this book to any photography aficionado.

I open the book occasionally and every time it seems fresh and I discover photographs that I had not noticed before.

Thank you for viewing Suicidegirls: Beauty Redefined – erotic art review page!
I tend to find photographs, and not models most memorable. I liked the girl standing on her toes in front of a window, holding the drapes.
Yes, I was familiar with SG before I got this book. I knew their website.
To vanilla impaired: I'm glad if I managed to convey some information about the book. It is definitely worth buying.
To Lauren: I am pleasantly surprised to hear this. I think the kind of work that SG are doing is valuable, and if it is not pure art, it definitely comes close.
