Bloodlust

"They'll help you forget that not minutes before, your immortal soul rested in the drooling mouth of a predator ... " Predators of the night, fangs flashing white, feral, primal sex. Smouldering, brooding vampires looking for some kind of connection to a life they once had. This book? I like it.

extremely useful review
I am an avid vampire erotica reader. I love stories of bloodlust, smouldering men and women steeped in centuries of history, roaming this plane seeking something that gives them a glimpse of life as they once knew.

D.L.King offers you an anthology consisting of 210 pages brimming with 19 stories of sexy, brooding vampire erotica all bound in a soft cover book that is something that can sit quite happily on your bedside table or coffee table. An image of a shadowed female vampire, her eye directing itself towards the curious reader is one that will cause you to look twice and perhaps pick up this book.

I smiled when this book arrived in its clear plastic packaging, upon gazing at the cover then flipping the book over you are greeted with the words "sex with a bite" and a list of the authors hand picked to grace it's pages. One being my most favourite of erotica writers, Remittance Girl, a fellow blogger and an amazing writer. Her story "Midnight at Sheremetyero" is evident of her style of writing and it drew me right in.

"Wait until Dark, Montresor" by Thomas S. Roche mesmerized me every inch of the way, a narrative that keeps you guessing and pulls you into a dark and frenzied coupling.

"The Temptation of Mlle.Marielle Doucette" by Anna Black involves many women's fantasies, two hot guys and delicious sex vampire style. Fangs and fucking are two main themes that will keep you engaged with this little story.

"Enlightenment" by Amber Hipple is an exquisite masterpiece of writing and one I adore, a descriptive sexual encounter with a visitor at night while she sleeps, awakening to dried blood an onyx tear, remnants of the nights dreamscapes and desires.

Normally when I read an anthology there are quite a few stories that I just don't click with maybe the odd five or so stories I do really like. Perhaps it is because this book is full of writing that I love to write myself, or just simply because within these pages it offers an abundance of writing styles who all capture the essence of the vampire so well I really wasn't disappointed with any of the stories within. I found the book very easy to pick up and flip to any story of my choosing and begin reading and disappear into a world of fantasy and desires. The stories are typical heterosexual, male/female orientated.

Anyone who does enjoy vampire fiction may well find this book to their liking. I certainly did and I wish that some of these stories were developed into larger tales as they would have done extremely well in regards to the writing styles.

You can always find vamp erotica, but never any other myth erotica. At least I can't seem to find any. Good review, maybe could have had a bit more fleshing out, such as what POVs are all the stories in? And why not explain a brief synopsis of each story? Were they all one-shots or mini stories with chapters?

This is high on my Wish List. I haven't started reading erotica yet, but this sounds right up my alley! I just loved the passion, mystique, and intrigue of Anne Rice's vampire novels and always wished there was vampire sex in her books.

Glad to see you enjoyed it too Sammi.

Naughty Student if you like vamp stories it's a good one to have.

Goth i could have but they are so short it's hard to write about the stories without giving away the basis of the plot. These anthologies don't have chapters they are only 7 - 10 pages worth normally.

Selective Sensualist I'm thinking you would probably enjoy this book then
