Down and Dirty book - erotic fiction by Pretty Things Press - review by TitsMcScandal

This book was bought for me, and was the first piece of published erotica that I had ever read. Since then I now know that Alison Tyler edits many collections, and they are quite popular. The authors of the short stories inside the books are all talented, but as I mentioned before I had never heard of or read any of their works. There are 69 short stories inside, although some duplicate authors. This is a nice way to tell if you like an author's style so perhaps you can pick up a book or find them in a collection like such at a later time.

The editor takes note of five contributors in her introduction which are- M. Christian, N. T. Morley, Thomas S. Roche, Sage Vivant, and Rachel K. Brussel. So if you are familiar with any of those authors this may be the collection for you!

There is 69 stories packed into 208 pages. There is no room for slacking off in these stories. As the editor states in her introduction, none of the stories are more than 2000 words. This is geared towards women [or men] who need that quickly release. The theme of the collection is naughtiness in general. Nothing too specific. There are some stories that are lesbian, others about cheating, others about spanking, and many more topics. The common thread is the 'dirtiness' and the short length. Due to the short length there isn't much romanticism or 'wooing'. The actual actions of fucking are the main topic, that's not to say that there is no build up. These stories are extremely well written and that did surprise me considering the length of them.

This is a normal softcover book. Nothing is outstanding about the binding or quality, however it hasn't ripped or torn the many months I've had it. There are no categories of theme, which is a tad annoying, but there is an index which once you know what stories you enjoy, you can use to your benefit. The cover is cute and I think geared more towards women considering the pink, cherries, and baby blue cover. Although that's not saying that men can't get off from the stories.

The stories are extremely well written and everyone will find something they enjoy in there. It is definitely something that can keep you coming back for more.
