Great mix of stories!

Great mix of stories to either enjoy by yourself or with your significant other. This book could help give you ideas of different acts to try and the safe way to try them. It is slightly repetitive in the story lines, but the writing styles being so different help make each story unique and interesting.

About author

The Editor of Best Women's Erotica 2008 is Violet Blue. The contributing authors are Jacqueline Applebee, Morticia Catherine, A.D.R. Forte, Jordana Winters, R. I have never read any of these authors work before, but I enjoyed all of their stories. They each write with a different style but they flow together nicely within this book. They all have been published multiple times.

Content / Style / Audience

This is definitely a woman focused book. All the stories are based on events that happen to a woman. I would say about 80% of the stories are rougher.

The story by Peony is the only one in this book that is almost poem like. It's more what is going on in the woman's head then to her body. It makes it more unique and intriguing to read. The others are all story-like, giving you background then the topic of the story.

Most of the stories in this book are based on first experiences. Either having sex for the first time or the first time trying a certain sex act. They are all stories of women who are finally experiencing something they have wanted to try for a while or having just realized they want to try.

Being short stories some of them seem to end semi abruptly or in awkward places, though the majority of them end pretty smoothly.

Design

The book's layout was done very nicely. Starting with a "softer" story then increasing to Dom/Sub style stories then back down to soft stories.

It is a soft cover book, but bound nicely. The cover has a naked woman on it. Her nipple is visible but only when you really look at the cover. This isn't a book I would feel comfortable reading in public. It says erotica right down the front.

Follow-up commentary
The binding is holding up very nicely. I do take very good care of my books though (I don't bend back the binding, etc.). The pages haven't yellowed at all, which is reassuring me that this book will last me a while. If this book were to ever fall apart, I would definitely buy it again!

The cover makes this book look interesting. Im not big on reading but might have to check this one out. Makes it easier when they are shorter stories in one book. Thanks for the review.
