"Say Please: Lesbian BDSM Erotica" has 23 stories, each written by different people and all edited by Sinclair Sexsmith, who also wrote one story for the book. Sexsmith is a writer, teacher, and performer, who even writes here on SexIs as Mr. Sexsmith. In her classes and workshops she teaches about "gender, sexuality, healing, communication, and getting the sex life you want" according to her bio on her website. On Eden, she refers to herself as a "kinky queer butch top", and from her story you can clearly see truth in that.

The title of this book says it all; lesbian BDSM erotica. In this book you will find none of the male geared fake breasted, giggling while they gently rub, touch, and suckle each other lesbian action. Instead you read of more realistic sexual activities between women. This book contains a lot of spanking, submission and dominance, and strap-on's. This book is 196 pages of sexual deviance by solely women.

Since this book has to many authors, it changes style with the turn of a page. The one thing all of these stories share is that they are mostly written from the first person perspective and as the dominant party. This is only broken thrice in the book, one written as a tale, where the writer is not involved or "there" at all, and another from the perspective of the sub herself. The third exception to the rule is a story called "Purge" and it is written as if you were the writer's lover. Personally, I would have preferred to be a part of a different story, but kink is kink and the author that chose to write in that manner, chose to write about what she wrote about. I have to say, if you have ever been curious about BDSM and what all it entails, this book would be an awesome erotic read to open your brain to such things. This book takes you from simple spanking in public scenes to scenes of real (in my opinion, crazy) kink. Before reading, I have to admit my brain was fairly vanilla and hadn't thought of many of the things this book details. My curiosity was very sated, and has opened some new erotic doors for me personally.

The directed audience for this book is of course for the kinky lesbians out there, but it is in no way limited to that. I see this being an awesome read for anyone who loves BDSM as well as any female who enjoys another female sexually. It is quite empowering as a woman to read a book of smut that is kinky and solely composed of stories about women. Women having their way with other women in a hot and demanding manor should be able to turn on any bi-curious to gay female. But inside that, I feel this book is geared toward a certain portion of lesbians, the ones who dig strap-on's and strap-on action.

The cover of this book is not graphic in design, but is clearly labeled on the front and spine as "Lebian BDSM Erotica". The image on the front and back is of a slender pale women wearing black leather. You can only see her from the nose down, she is wearing red lipstick and has uneven hair. She wears leather sleeves from just above her elbows to just below her wrists that laces up from bottom to top. She is spread eagle with one leg tucked underneath her. You can see that side shoe and it is the same leather with lace up front as the sleeves. She also wears a leather looking corset and boy shorts.

Even though I am far from being a lesbian, this book did get my motor running. Maybe I'm discovering kink inside myself I never knew I had, or maybe it was just the thought of a book solely invested in the tales of kinky women. Either way, it was a great read, and I recommend it to nearly anyone with a vagina.
