Informative and Thorough Book
While this book is not the most exciting tips and tricks book to buy, it is worth the money as it covers everything related to sex and ways to please a man. It was certainly appropriately named.

Pros
Extremely thorough, informative, travel friendly.
Cons
No pictures, on the longer side.
I initially ordered "Tricks to Please a Man" by Jay Wiseman because I figured who would know better how to please a man than a man? My inclination was that the book would be useful. My inclination was generally correct.
"Tricks to Please a Man" is an extremely thorough book. It covers the basics, how the book came about and has a general reminder about consent and willingness of both parties involved.
Wiseman transitions from one section to the next through stories that one can either relate to or a story that involves a more involved trick description. The first section is the basics, which entails some dos and don'ts, as well as some setting up space ideas. It also includes the most basic tips, like engaging various body parts at the same time.
The second section is Manual Tricks. I thought this section was a bit too lengthy. There are a huge variety of handjob tips and tricks. They are, for the most part, clearly described. There were a few that I couldn't quite figure out, even with a dildo in hand. For those afraid of blowjobs, it is probably a useful section as there are a large number of tricks in the section.
The "interlude" between "Manual Tricks" and "Oral Tricks" is a description of how to do a lap dance. The story suggests five songs. I cannot imagine doing a five song long lap dance, unless the songs were no more than 3 minutes each. Finding such short songs takes skill. That being said, it is a good set up for what to do during a lap dance/strip tease and how to go about doing it, incorporating everything that you would want.
"Oral Tricks" has 20 tricks in it. Most of them are fairly common to hear, but a few were different. I think there could have been more in this section, but considering the rest of the content, I think it's probably sufficient.
The next interlude is about the use of menthol and some cautionary advice. It's definitely a good trick to try with a partner. The only problem is Wiseman talks about using a liqueur, which often has sugar in it, so if one engages in unprotected sex after the use of the liqueur, there is a high risk for a yeast infection for the woman.
The "Enhanced Tricks" section covers other things, like condom fit, other ways to use lube, the use of vibrators, socks, and other props. It has random tips that won't fit neatly into the other sections. There are a lot of tips on different ways to use vibrators.
The final interlude is actually an introduction to anal play, and the things necessary to engage in anal play. Of course, the next section is anal play, in which the tricks cover how to go about engaging in anal play and what to do from there. It's a very good introduction to anal play.
The last section is called "Afterplay" which is an informative section about the risks involved with sex, what to do if you have a sex related injury, what to do if a condom breaks, how to deal with toys that get 'lost,' and it provides a list of resources from which to get information about various lifestyles.
Overall, the book is good. It's very serious and matter of fact, and is extremely thorough. It covers safety, the tricks, how to get into everything. It could be fun to read with a partner to mark what both would like to try. The biggest positive about the book is that it could be used by either a heterosexual couple or a homosexual couple.

Good to see a well researched book. Better too much information than too little I suppose.
-
I don't know that it's too much information, it's just nothing new - there were only one or two tricks that I hadn't read before. It's a great book for couples just beginning to explore beyond vanilla sex.

There's really no pictures? WTF? I totally expected a pretty picture book. This has still been on my wishlist for awhile though - I should finally check it out. I just always find that Jay Wiseman is a little dry for me.

There are really no pictures. It's unfortunate. Wiseman is reaaaallly dry. I'm not sure that it's worth the $13.99 + shipping...it's a nice book, maybe good for a new couple, but there's nothing really novel in it.

Hmm, I think it's be more fun to explore and find what my man likes instead of reading this book, especially since there are no pictures, lol.

I just got the book and I am also doing a review on it. I find it very dry as well but there is a lot of information for a beginning couple to explore and learn about what feels good and how to do it. Thank you for the great review.

Thank you for the thorough review. I'm always looking for more tips and tricks and have spent my money on books that just fall short of what it turns out I already know. I am really looking for something that is "novel" and not a waste of money. I agree with the aforementioned comments; the book would be a bigger plus with pictures.
