Naughty Spanking Stories from A to Z, Volume 2 - erotic fiction by Pretty Things Press - review by Reesa

I enjoy being spanked, so I was delighted when my request to review this book went through quickly and the book was shipped right off. When it arrived, I planned to take my time on it, reading one story a night until I finished the book. I'm sure you can imagine how well that plan passed the test of time.

The cover, as you can see from the pictures, is gorgeous. I liked the cover of the first volume, but half the reason I was more interested in the second volume was honestly the cover. It called to me, and it's just as beautiful in real life as it is online.

When I started reading, I found myself immersed in the book from start to finish, staying up all night in order to do so. The stories cover a wide range of different kinds of spanking scenarios. Some are hetero, some are gay or lesbian, one is trans. Some involve two partners, some feature many people actively participating. Some are in the privacy of the bedroom while others take place in public. Several of the stories feature elements of risk of exposure; at least one of the stories is from the point of view of some of the spectators who hadn't expected the show but certainly appreciated it.

The stories have different takes on how spanking plays into the characters' lives. In some cases, it takes place in an established relationship; in others it begins a new relationship, occurs between strangers, takes place outside of an established relationship with or without the partner's knowledge, or releases the pent-up energy resulting from the ending of a relationship. Several of the stories|Naughty Spanking Stories from A to Z, Volume 2 involve authority figures issuing spankings. Some involve the reversal of authority. The spankings can take the role of punishment or reward. Some involve sexual aspects, others don't. They range from barehanded to paddles and floggers to canes and crops.

The only thing that detracted from my enjoyment of this book was the fact that one of the stories was reprinted in Best Lesbian Bondage Erotica in 2007, and I had purchased a copy of the bondage erotica prior to my exposure to the spanking book.

Depending on your tastes, you might also be disappointed in the lack of age play and the fact that only one story features trans characters, and that story is the very last one included in the book. If you enjoy age play, however, the prevalence of schoolgirl scenarios might make up for some of the lack.

If that praise isn't effusive enough, I believe that the fact that it took me more than five tries to pare down my pros enough to suit Edenfantasys' regulations should say a lot.

One fun aspect of having this book was that I ended up carrying it around at the local gay pride festival since the gay pride festival took place the day after the book arrived. Paired with my shirt, which read "My inner child needs a spanking," I received plenty of positive attention. I also found that it was great material to spread the word about Edenfantasys.com and several people wanted my contact information so they could purchase copies through me.
