Butter? More like icing.

While Love Stuff isn't exactly what I call a body butter and isn't great for massage it does work well it you're looking for something super edible, though also sticky, to lick off a lover's skin. If messy, sticky fun is your fetish, you'll love this.

extremely useful review
Perhaps I'm spoiled by all the excellent sensual products I've tried. Perhaps I'm an idiot for not taking a good look at the ingredients. Perhaps the name is simply misleading. Regardless of the perhapses (is that a word?) this stuff just sort of sucks.

Is that overly harsh? Possibly. I try hard not to be overly critical or downright nasty about products, even when they don't work for me. But this Love Stuff Body Butter leaves me with very little good to say.

To begin with, I expected it to be like most body butters; either thick and buttery or light and creamy. It is neither. In fact, when I opened the jar -- a white, plastic tub with a screw off lid, labeled with a splashy red and purple text proclaiming it is, indeed, love stuff -- it had settled so that the jar was only half full. Without even touching it I knew it was going to be sticky icky. It just... it looks like a glob of melted candy or something.

My eyes did not deceive me. Upon dipping a finger into the tub I came up with a finger full of gooey mess, similar to sticking a finger in a jar of honey. Or that icing packet that comes with refrigerator cinnamon rolls. It was not buttery, not fluffy, not creamy. It was... sticky.

It smells good, I'll give it that. It has a candy berry sweetness to it that makes you want to eat it. And it tastes good. It's super sweet, as candy-like in taste as it is in smell.

Unfortunately, it's also sticky like candy, sticky like it looks, sticky like honey. It rubs in eventually, but leaves you feeling messy and... sticky. I'm sorry. I'm going to be saying sticky a lot. It's sort of like rubbing a piece of hard candy or chewed taffy on yourself.

I'm not kidding.

I'm also, now that I've looked at the ingredients, not surprised. Corn starch (2 kinds), glycerin, vegetable shortening and 3 different "gums"? Yeah. I definitely should have expected sticky.

Now, like I said, it tastes good and smells good and if you're in the mood for some messy, gooey, sticky fun, it works great. Paint each other up, rub it all over, lick and kiss and lap and gobble each other up. Just know you're going to get tacky and weird feeling, you're going to need a shower when you're done and you're going to need to wash your sheets, blankets, pillows, hair, possibly even your carpet and your dog.

It's messy stuff, man.

It doesn't do much for massaging, it's too sticky and tacky to really reduce friction. It definitely should be kept away from the vagina. It's a yeast infection in a jar.

But if food play is your thing, if messy play is your thing, this may be exactly what you're looking for.

See? There are always benefits to every product...
Follow-up commentary
I've tried a lot of body butter. This is the only one I have ever been unable to give a fair shake. Seriously. It's too sticky and messy and sort of just gross like melted candy gooing up the skin.

I can't, honestly, recommend this to anyone and as I went to give it another shot for a follow up I just couldn't make myself do it, tossed it in the trash instead.

Invest in Kama Sutra or Shunga. You won't regret it.

    Sticky icky!

Ick! That does NOT sound like something I want to massage all over. I hate feeling sticky, even if the "sticky" tastes good.

And I'm not sure I even want to know why you might have to wash your dog after playing with this stuff.
