JO's Clitoral Stimulation Gel is used to enhance arousal. A small dab (less than a pea size) applied to the clitoris causes a cooling, tingling sensation. The stimulation allows freer blood flow to the area, which increases sensitivity, bringing quicker and/or stronger orgasms. The gel lasts a long time, and only one application is usually good for a single session.

JO's stimulation gel is silicone based, so it should not be used with silicone toys. It is also L-arginine free, so it is safe for those with STIs.

Although this is a gel, it is slightly thinner than one might imagine. Although it is thin, the gel is not runny, so you don't have to worry about it getting all over the place when you dispense it. The gel has a velvety consistency similar to that of a silicone lube, but it does not leave any greasy residue. (You shouldn't be using that much anyway.)

JO's Wild Clitoral Stimulation Gel has a light peppermint scent. I find it to smell really good, and it is not at all overwhelming. The gel does not taste like peppermint, though. I found it to have no particular taste.

To use the gel, one massages a small amount into the clitoris. The package claims it will take about 3-5 minutes to feel the effects. For me, it takes about a minute or two. The sensation may come quicker or more slowly for others, depending upon initial sensitivity. The gel first creates a cooling sensation that then turns into a tingling feeling. For me, this feeling is just the right amount. There is not so much sensation that it is uncomfortable but not so little that it can't be felt. The gel enhances my orgasms and makes me come a bit faster. The gel can also be used to cause arousal when you are not already in the mood.

The gel is packaged in a small plastic tube that comes in a basic cardboard box. The box is black and red, with the name of the product on the front and directions on the back. The tube itself is a translucent whitish color with red lettering. In order to dispense the product, you must cut open the tip of the tube. There is a black cap that covers the opening for storage, but you must make sure it is on properly or the tube can leak. (I've had problems with the cap coming off.) Even though the tube is small, I would not say it is discreet because it has the words "Clitoral Stimulation Gel" on it. There's really no way for the gel to be anything other than what it is. However, a person would not necessarily notice the tube if it were left out, because of its size. They would have to read it to know what it is.

I chose to give JO's Wild Clitoral Stimulation Gel four stars. I really like the product and use it regularly, but I wouldn't complain if it were a little bit more powerful. That being said, JO offers this product in different strengths: Light, Mild, Wild, and Atomic. I would one day like to try the Atomic, but it is not sold on Eden. If you are already very sensitive and feel the Wild might be too much, you could try the Mild or Light for added stimulation.
