If the goal that you and your partner have in mind for the evening is a wonderful, pleasurable massage; then the Karma Sutra Massage Therapy Kit may well be the perfect choice for you. This kit contains five (5) different 2 ounce bottles of massage oils with different scents and ingredients that are blended with particular moods in mind. Each can be used by itself or in combination with scented candles and reduced or diffused lighting to produce a very pleasurable, intimate evening. Each bottle is clear with the label in an Indian design on the label in keeping with the theme of Karma Sutra. All of the ingredients are listed on the back of the bottles; with both the botanical and common names for the oils where available. The five bottles are blended separately, and labeled with a distinctive name to provide a hint to the powers contained within the oil. The carrier is also clear to allow an easy view of the bottles and their levels. The travel bag has a slide zip closure which may come open during a flight as pressure changes will cause the zipper to open.


The "Healing Blend", which is designed to relieve fatigued muscles; is a blend of rich oils, elemi, clary sage, clove, and nutmeg. It would probably go well with a sandalwood or patchuly oil candle.


The "Pleasure Garden", is an "aromatic mix of pure essential oils for sensual and seductive intimacy". It is listed as "A sensual blend of natural essentual oils including Italian bergamot, ylang-ylang, neroli, rose, lavender, and sandalwood. A good candle mix would be lavender and/or sandalwood with proper mood lighting.


The "Serenity" is a "soothing mixture of pure essential oils for quieting body and soul". It is a "soothing blend of warm cedar, sweet marjoram and the scent of orange groves and lavender." A good candle for this oil would be the lavender since that is a very relaxing scent.


The "Soaring Spirit" is an "invigorating blend of pure essential oils to energize and refresh". It is an "energizing blend of essential oils with invigoration notes of citrus, geranium, ginger, and fennel." This oil is difficult to place with a single candle choice. With the citrus and ginger mix, both orange and ginger candles would be good choices.


The "Sweet Almond" is a "combination of calming oils for relaxation and de-stressing". It is a "light massage oil, delicately infused with the extract of sweet almonds, vitamin E, and skin smoothing emollients." The most obvious choice of a candle would be a sweet almond scent, but also sandalwood is a possibility. It is important to note that none of these oils are edible. All of these oils contain chemicals that prohibit their consumption. This is a serious set of massage oils.

These oils would work best with reduced lighting, soothing music, and scented candles in almost all cases. Whether they are used as a prelude, an interlude or the afterglow, they will provide the soothing touch that only be shared between loving partners.

These are still working just as well as when I first got them. I am still having a hard time deciding which one I like best.
