Four play massager kit by Cal Exotics - review by Bonanza Jellybean

This is one occasion where a product called a "massager" really is best suited for body massage. I was hoping for throbbing clitoral orgasms; what I got was tickling foreplay. The Four Play Massager Kit works decently for its advertised purpose, which is erotic massage in the context of foreplay. The vibrations feel good and the attachments offer a variety of mild stimulation that, when applied to my clitoris, absolutely worked to turn me on but it did not get me any farther than that.

The main toy is made of hard, odorless lilac-colored plastic, while the four attachments are a darker shade of purple plastic. Three are made solely of rigid plastic while the fourth, a suction cup shaped attachment, has a clear, squishy silicone sleeve. Each attachment provides a different texture from large, magnetized bumps to slim, tickling prongs, and a nubbed roller to a stiff yet squishy noduled suction cup. The attachments are good for users at any experience level, but the quality of this toy is best for those on a budget or new to massagers--if you've experienced higher quality massagers, this probably won't meet your expectations.

This massager comes in a pale lilac shade offset by three silver nubs that transfer vibration into its attachable heads. The handle is rather phallic in size and shape and carries strong vibrations that, if the battery compartment were waterproof, could make this a multifunction toy. It is far from waterproof, however, so if you want to take that route, have a condom on hand and be prepared to clean lube off the handle.

It takes two AA batteries (not included) and it doesn't breeze through batteries like some toys do.

The one-speed vibration can be turned on and off with a single button on the massager's head where the attachments connect. Easy to operate? Oh, yes. Convenient? Think again. Depending on how you hold it, unfortunate finger/button interference may abound. I accidentally turned this toy off/on several times while positioning it over my clitoris, an annoying problem I've never had with other vibrators. This will only be an issue depending on the angle at which you hold the toy--I held it differently when massaging my partner's back and had no trouble.

As for power, the vibrations are strong but too diffuse to do more than arouse/frustrate me. The entire toy, from handle to attachments, vibrates with equal strength. This is one of those hand-numbing toys.

The motor is very whiny and loud when you're in the room with it. If you're like me and think you're clever with that stack of quilts and comforters, forget it--even a pile of blankets didn't do much to muffle the noise. But how loud could it really be? Risking the possibility of stumbling into an awkward conversation with my housemates, I decided to scope out the outside noise level to get an idea of what someone walking past my room might overhear. I put on some low music, left the massager on in the center of my bed, and stepped into the hallway where I heard... almost nothing. The motor was audible through my closed door only as a very faint and innocent hum. Success!

But I wasn't quite satisfied with that result, so I tested the noise level again tonight.

The scene: My house at 11:30 PM. The hallway is silent, bedroom doors are shut, lights are off, and the resident sex toy reviewer is hard at work. This time I left the massager on without music and without any sounds of life from either the common areas, traffic noise, or loudmouths passing under my window. Was the massager audible? You bet it was. Ho-lee crap. There are noisier toys out there, but this kitty does more than purr (and not in a titillating way.) I darted back inside my room and lunged for the off button.

The massager and its attachments are made of hard plastic that is compatible with any lube, with the exception of the for the silicone-sleeved attachment, which can break down if used with silicone-based lubricants.

The three plastic attachments can be cleaned with toy cleaner, soap and hot water, or by wiping with isopropyl alcohol. The silicone-sleeved attachment can be cleaned with toy cleaner or soap and hot water. The tickler attachment is particularly difficult to sanitize due to its many narrowly spaced prongs, but toy wipes make it easier.
