The item is good for beginners getting ready to move to the moderate level and above level experiences. This product could be used by either men or women. It is not something that could be worn out in public in my opinion because its too bulky and the chains can be rather loud if they hit each other.

I have only gotten to use this item 1 time, but it works very well. The collar itself is made from a thick ribbed material that I thought would be totally uncomfortable but was barely noticeable. I don't want to wear it longer because the lack of soft lining does make it slightly stiff and irritating after a while. The chains are very cold at first and bulky. Slightly heavy feeling but nothing that will weigh you down. The clamps are adjustable and have a rubber tip on the end, so the metal doesn't cut into the skin. The adjustment is easy to do and creates a fine line between too tight and too loose. It took a minute to get the right adjustment for me. The chain hangs down slightly creating just a small amount of pull against the clamps adding to the stimulation.
The product does make it versatile for anyone to use, male or female, beginner or experienced, young and old alike. The velcro is sturdy and strong enough to hold up to most situations and adjustable to any size. In fact, I had to have a little help from my bf to unfasten the velcro afterward. All the materials are strong and well made, designed to hold up and last for years to come.

The product worked exceptionally well. I did find out that you don't want to leave the clamps undone and try to make a dash to the bathroom for anything because the chains start clanking together loudly. I was just sure the neighbors could hear them (I know they couldn't but the paranoid me started worrying they could it felt so loud.), and the chains were freezing cold again without my body heat directly on them at all time keeping it warm. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't like cold! We also discovered there is no quiet or quick way to get it off and stashed away should unwanted guest try to intrude (i.e., kids, in-laws, etc.) so definitely won't be trying to use it unless we have the house to ourselves.

The product does store in a small location as it can basically be folded up fairly compact. It is easy enough to clean. For the times I have used it I simply wiped it down with a cleaning wipe, it's not like it is in the messiest areas of play. It could be hand washed if needed in the sink or tub and left out to dry, but I would NOT put it in the washing machine as the machine would lose against the chains.

Came in my box of other goodies in a small simple plastic bag with a sticker label on it for inventory purposes. I threw the bag away, it wasn't going back in the bag and not really reusable for much.
