Mineral beauty bronzer - bronzer discontinued by Bella Il Fiore - review by cbmb716

I was skeptical at first about the Mineral Beauty Bronzer from Bella II Fiore. I'm a makeup artist for a larger cosmetics corporation you find in department store, so I typically splurge on the more expensive bronzing products from that line. In all honesty, I grew extremely tired of paying a higher price tag (even with the employee discount), so I decided to try this product out, because it was much cheaper than what I usually turn to (I usually spend about $45 plus on a bronzing compact). I must say I was pretty impressed!

You actually get a lot of product for your money, unlike the product I was using before. The size of the compact could easily be compared to the size of a DVD or CD (another reviewer had a great picture portraying this). My typical bronzer that comes in a smaller compact lasts me close to a year (and I wear it every day), so I can only imagine how long this product will last me.

Another great thing about this Mineral Beauty Bronzer, is it is truly a product anyone can use. It is a buildable bronzing product. Obviously the more you put on, the darker you will get. I did not experience any oranging after applying more, but every skin tone is different, and I have seen other reviews where customers complained about this.

I do wish, that Bella II Fiore would come out with a matte bronzer. The glitter in this product is subtle, but shimmer and glitter tends to settle into fine lines and wrinkles, on both your face and your body. It tends to exploit even the tiniest skin imperfections and blemishes. I also wish this product came with an applicator.

I love the dewy look you get with the Mineral Beauty Bronzer! I was a bit worried about that at first when reading other reviews before buying this bronzer, because my skin tends to be more on the oily side and I usually don't need any help looking dewy! This bronzer, however, adds just the right amount of moisture to give you that natural glowing look, without making you look excessively shiny. I do still have to re-powder some of my more oily zones, like my t-zone (above brow down to the tip of your nose) and under my eyes.

A couple tips about applying bronzer for those who have never applied a bronzing powder:
~ Use a small, full, and fluffy brush (I found a small "Kabuki" brush works best for this- you can purchase these from any beauty supply store, Avon sells them, or the Bare Minerals one works great).
~ Apply bronzer in the shape of a 3 on your face starting in the middle of your forehead and making a 3 motion, the middle of the 3 being the tip of your nose and the end of the three being your chin. After applying the bronzing powder in this fashion to both sides of your face, wipe the excess bronzer off of your brush using a tissue, then use the same brush to blend.

Overall, I am very pleased with this product! I just purchased another compact to give to my sister as part of her bridal shower gift, because she did not want to fake tan for her wedding, but wanted something to make her glow! I figured there would be no better product than the Mineral Beauty Bronzer. I will definitely be purchasing this bronzing product for myself again as well.
