Icy Hot

Even though I normally love KamaSutra's products, I cannot recommend this one. And actually I would warn you to stay away, unless you know for sure that you're not sensitive to these types of products. For me, even the smallest amount burned and temporarily decreased sensitivity.

extremely useful review
Several months ago I was looking for a lubricant that would enhance sensations. My husband and I were at one of those upscale sex shops and I asked the store clerk what she thought was best. The KamaSutra Pleasure Balm is what she recommended. She did tell me to only use a little bit because this was potent. She said it was a stimulating gel and that it's supposed to create a cooling sensation and increase sensitivity. Well on her recommendation and the fact that I love everything else I've ever gotten by KamaSutra, I bought it. I purchased the pleasure balm in the mint flavor.

According to KamaSutra this is a tingling, fresh mint gel created for men and women to excite desire and heighten sensual pleasure. And you're supposed to apply it to all of your kissable pleasure points and enjoy a stimulating treat on any part of your body.

Well pretty much as soon as I got home I gave it a try and very quickly proceeded to attempt to wash it off. My skin was burning and freezing at the same time. How's that for increased sensations? So I tossed this to the back of a drawer and pretty much forgot about it until recently, when I tried it again, being very careful to use only the tiniest amount. And once again I got that icy burning sensation. This not only didn't increase sensitivity, it did the exact opposite and numbed my to some degree. I do want to mention that I only tried it on the clitoral area, since that is why I purchased it. I know it can be used for other areas and I'm not sure if I would have the same reaction. But that's not a chance I'm willing to take.

This product is latex safe, dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, L-Arginine free, Petro-chemicals free and Paraben free. The ingredients of the mint flavored one are water, alcohol denat., sucrose, glycerine, polysorbate 80, Carbomer, Xanthan gum, menthol, peppermint oil, sodium hydroxide, blue 1, yellow 5, yellow 6 food colorings. It has a very strong mint taste and isn't too sweet. The consistency is like a light gel and only gets slightly sticky after a little while.

I would not only, not recommend this product. But I would warn anyone that unless you know for sure that products like this do not bother you, stay far away from it. And as soon as I get done with writing this review, the gel sitting in front of me right now is going in the garbage.
Follow-up commentary
As I previously stated, this went in the trash. Never to be used by me again. But since then I've learned that some people like that freezing burning sensation you get from products like icy hot. So if you're one of them, then I highly recommend this for you.
