Cattiva diva hand creme - hand cream discontinued by Principessa Beauty - review by Eva Schwaltz

The Cattiva Diva Hand Crème is great to use if you want to add some scent to your hands and make them feel a bit smoother, but it’s not going to do any real good moisturizing. I find it’s a bit too greasy for my hands, but it also works well on the legs and feet, just don't use it on the face.

It contains nice oils and ingredients that are good for the skin, but the fragrances and glycerine may irritate some. It has no parabens, but it does have: Aqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Prinus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Fragrance, Ceteareth-20, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Isopropyl Myristate, Steareth-2, Steareth-21, Benzophenone-3, Tetrasodium EDTA, Triethanolamine, Sodium Polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, CI 17200.

The texture is silky smooth, but it leaves a bit of residue on my hands. It doesn’t absorb as quickly as some of my favorite hand creams, and I really don’t like that it makes them feel greasy and oily. It doesn’t make my hands feel tacky, but you can tell something has been applied. It is easy to get out of the tube, and it spreads around like any good lotion does.

The scent of this crème is called Belloccia which the company describes as seductively sweet, with top notes of peach and vanilla flower, middle notes of night blooming jasmine and ylang ylang, and bottom notes of sandalwood and warm amber.

It is seductive. It reminds me of baby powder, but I can’t specifically pick out any of the described aromas. The lotion from the same company has the same scent, but the vanilla comes out in the body lotion more than it does in the hand crème.

While I have been extremely impressed with Principessa Beauty’s products so far, the hand crème fell a little short. All you need is about a corn kernel sized dab to cover both hands. It takes about 20 minutes to absorb, but I don’t notice much moisturizing. In order to really moisturize, you’ll have to keep reapplying, and you only get 3.4 ounces. It has a flip cap for easy dispensing. This little tube is $17 and it’s not going to last all that long with frequent reapplication.

All the product information is on the tube, so there's no unnecessary packaging. This would be a nice gift for a friend, but you can also get it in the Bellina Box if you want to try some other products out.
