Organic Green Apple Tea

I absolutely love Shunga and their products. They are high quality and have a certain class to them. I've enjoyed this particular oil of theirs for around two years now, and I'm very excited that Eden Fantasys has FINALLY decided to carry it.

Shunga Aphrodisiac Oil is a massage oil that has a lot of tricks up its sleeve. For one, it is thick and long lasting. It's not the best oil for a massage and go, but it is great for the long haul and extended sessions. It's also flavored! You don't have to use this on traditionally massaged areas. Dabble some of it onto your or your partner's intimate areas and enjoy licking up the sweet goodness. It has a great flavor and aroma! As an aphrodisiac, it might work better for some than others, but the smell is still nice. There is also a warming property to the oil that intensifies with a warm, sensual breath. It's even great for gift giving because it comes in a gorgeous shaped glass bottle with a faux cork top.

But best of is the fact that this oil is certified organic! Here are the ingredients:

Glycerin, Propanediol, Flavor (Aroma), Sodium Saccharine, FD(C Blue #1 (CI 19140), FD&C Yellow #5 (CI 42090)

Note: This contains glycerin which might cause UTI's in some women who are sensitive to this ingredient. Not using this in the genital region can help prevent this for those specific women.

Aphrodisiac Intimate Kisses Oil is more viscose than the Erotic Oil which is also by Shunga. It is also thicker than Tantric Massage Oil and Sensuous Oil that I have also tried. It is thinner than most silicone lubricants, though. In large amounts it can run, but shouldn't if you only use a few drops. It moves freely in the bottle, but takes works to rub in once it is on the skin. It will sit on top of the skin for a long time. The consistency is very smooth and not at all grainy or greasy. Sometimes it can feel sticky, but when it starts to feel that way, that's a good time to lick it up! If you don't lick it up, it might require washing to completely remove.

This product is the Exotic Green Tea flavor and scent. In my experience, Shunga flavored products taste pretty great! This one smells strong and smells a lot like delicious sour apple instead of green tea. I expected green tea to be a bit more natural smelling and earthy. The taste is somewhat reminiscent of green apple but not quite like it tastes. The taste is strong and does have a green tea hint to it. I think it tastes sweet and really good! Even my partner approves.

The smell and taste don't linger long on the skin after it has been licked off.

For longer, patient massages, this can be a great oil for that. Only a few drops covers at least a 6-8" area on the skin. You'll need to use more of this than a thinner oil because it is harder to spread around. The thickness makes it glide well, but it doesn't stay uniform on the skin if you use thick amounts. It starts to separate. My partner and I prefer to use this for smaller areas at a time or for oral enhancement. It either needs to be licked off or rubbed in a REALLY long time. If you just leave it to dry or absorb, it will get a bit grimy feeling. It washes off easily, though

The warming is really nice, especially on the back, shoulders, lower tummy, and inner thighs. It's even mild enough for genital use. Makes for a tasty oral session! It is not terribly intense and doesn't warm much at all unless it is blown on. The warmness only lasts for a few minutes. Once it gets more rubbed in, it doesn't get affected by blowing hot air on it anymore.

Once it has had time to settle into the skin more, it doesn't feel sticky and thick anymore. It feels nice on the skin, but then your fingers might need a washing. This isn't an oil I want all over my body unless I am going to jump in the shower afterwards. Neither my partner nor I had any reaction to this oil.

The packaging really stands out amongst many products and oils of this price range. It comes in a thick glass bottle! Nobody packages in glass anymore. They really should. It is a renewable resource, unlike plastic which degrades its quality over time (I could go on and on about this...). The bottle isn't plain either. It's a fancy, vintage shape. The bottle is clear which shows the lime green oil inside. 3.5 fluid ounces is provided. It is not nearly as neon as the picture suggests. It's also a clear liquid, not opaque as it is presented. The bottle is discreet with small writing and a single picture of a shunga couple on the front. The back has the ingredients. The top is a fake cork. When you receive it, there will be a thick plastic seal over it. The cork has ridges to help prevent it from leaking. It won't leak unless you store it on its side for a long period of time.

The bottle itself then comes in a cardboard cylinder that open from the top with a metal circle that pries off. The cardboard also has pretty art work on it. It isn't really needed. I imagine it is only there to protect the glass.

If you review this in the Garden of Edo kit, like I did, it will not come with the outer package.

It's not as neon as a flash makes it out to be!
