Smooch me lip lube - lip balm discontinued by Pleasure Works - review by alba

I bought two of these in a sale a while back, and actually managed to make it through both containers without the lip balm every going hard or starting to taste waxy: a rare feat for something in a container of this shape. Though the pot is not meant to work like an applicator, I found that in the beginning, I was able to just purse my lips and twist in order to apply it, and only had to start using my fingers to apply it once I used enough of the lip balm that it was worn through in the middle. The container is metal and the lid fits tightly to keep it fresh for a long time, which was appreciated, but I did sometimes have trouble getting it off the container in the beginning. When applying the lip balm, it goes on smoothly and has a light, clean scent. I really liked the cherry and vanilla flavor, and didn't find it to smell or taste like medicine, as cherry sometimes does.

The one downside to the lip balm is that I found that it dries out pretty quickly on your lips, requiring lots of applications. I didn't notice that my lips were more dry (as some lip balms make them) or peeling, but this was not a long lasting lip balm no matter how much you put on. It did feel very nice on your lips when you put on a fresh application. This is not a plumping lip balm or anything, but it did make my lips feel a little bit heavier, which added a sense of fullness to them. I never got any complaints from anyone I kissed while I wore this - I think that it tastes a little bit sweet without being too much. As I said, though, it does wear off pretty quickly, so if you're wearing it when your lips are... in use... you might find that it has completely disappeared by the end.

I would recommend this lip balm for daily wear, as well as for in the bedroom with your partner. The added heaviness on your lips makes you feel very sultry when you're using them, like you have a starlet's pout. It would be nice if the lip balm lasted longer and left your lips feeling moisturized, but it was not drying and I didn't find it too inconvenient to reapply.
