Active care hand and body lotion - body moisturizer discontinued by Evolution of Smooth - review by Angel Baby

EOS is a hand and body lotion. You can use it on newly shaved legs, your hands or anywhere else you want (accept of course your male/female parts). I think this is a great lotion for anyone because I have sensitive skin and it hasn’t given me a rash or made my skin burn. However if you’re looking for something for extremely dry skin I would look somewhere else. I have eczema and this lotion only softens my hands till the next hand washing. The point would be this; if EOS softens your skin and you have eczema like me then it will undo whatever it has done when you wash your hands. You will have to keep on reapplying it. I have to put this lotion on every day and if I stop my skin dries out the day I stop using it. Since the lid on this lotion locks you can just place it in your purse and it won’t make a mess. Your skin will be soft if you keep on applying this lotion. If you’re looking for something really hydrating I would look for something else though. Unless you’re allergic to oatmeal or soybeans this is ok when it comes to allergies. Eos is; Paraban free, Lanolin free, Phthalate free and dye free. There are no animal byproducts either and it isn’t tested on animals. To state the obvious; This isn’t a lubricant or a massage oil!

Texture wise I would say this has the consistency of bath and body works lotions. It isn’t a body butter or balm. Eos is a smooth lotion; there are no lumps or beads. If I keep putting this lotion on then it does feel great on my skin. Eos absorbs fast and it doesn’t leave a greasy residue. It isn’t sticky either. It isn’t a runny lotion either once you put it on your skin it stays there till you rub it in. This lotion comes in an easy to pump and lock container and it comes right out if you press it. As a hand/body lotion it doesn’t feel gross and I don’t have to wash it off!

Eos Refresh active care lotion smells strongly of watermelon when you first pump it out of the bottle. Once you get it on your skin the smell does fade but if you sniff your hand you can still smell the watermelon. When it’s on your skin you won’t smell it unless you get your hand close to your face. This is not an edible lotion so don’t go kissing or licking it off someone! You will be grossly surprised if you do.

This is a perfect lotion for someone who doesn’t have severely dry skin. For me this lotion only lasts till the next hand washing then I have to reapply right after my hands are washed. However I have dry/sensitive/eczema prone skin. This only helps my skin if I keep reapplying it after showers, hand washing or washing dishes. If I don’t reapply right after then it will do nothing at all for my skin. I reapply this lotion constantly so my skin will stay soft. This is not a sticky/oily lotion and it absorbs fast so I don’t need to wash it off. However as I said it does wash off with a simple hand washing. I do like that if I keep applying this lotion my hands are extremely soft. I do not like that I have to keep applying it up to six times a day or more (depending how many times my hands get wet) for it to keep my hands soft. It is great at softening your body because you aren’t constantly exposing that to water. It’s a better body lotion then hand lotion. It’s just not a lotion for someone with extremely dry skin!!!

Eos refresh came in a white plastic bottle with a pump to get the lotion out. The pump locks to keep the lotion from squirting everywhere. I keep this bottle in my purse and it hasn’t unlocked or messed up my purse. It doesn't leak at all. There are directions on how to use this and they go as follows; Smooth on, Touch, Smile. Since this isn’t a lotion that’s sexual on any level; there is no reason to be discreet. Eos Active is a 12 oz. (1 ½ cup) bottle so you can’t put it in your carry on if you’re going on a flight. This bottle is also recyclable. The Ingredient list according to the bottle goes as follows.
