Greeting card lip balm - lip balm discontinued by Not Soap Radio - review by secdoover

This lip balm would make a great gift for others or for yourself. It's great for a special occasion or absolutely no occasion at all. There's really no age that I think wouldn't love this product.



The value is great. The container was much larger than I was expecting to receive. A little goes a long way, so a container will last you a good amount of time, though I suspect you'll want to buy more quickly just so you can try the other flavors.

The back of the container lists the ingredients as: castor seed oil, beeswax, lauryl laurate (a vegetable derived cosmetic ester), carnauba wax, flavor, & mica. It is paraben and phthalate free. It also says it's never tested on animals.

The texture is silky smooth. It's not gritty at all. There is no nasty sticky or greasy feeling left behind after you use the balm either. I had no problem getting just the right amount on my finger to apply to my lips. Just swirling my finger lightly around the on top of the product seemed to work best.

The balm stays in place without having to constantly be reapplied, as is the case with most other balms I've tried. It seemed to last a good amount of time, despite how often I evidently mess with my lip area.

I tried the Damsel in De-stress variety. If I had to guess, there's possibly pomegranate in there somewhere, but I could be completely wrong. Regardless of what the actual flavor and scent actually are, the product smells and tastes great. Several others have tried to identify the flavor/scent as well without success. There is a citrus tone to the product. It just smells and tastes very fresh and crisp. I haven't experienced a lip balm in the past that had such a unique and fantastic smell/taste.

This lip balm is great. It provides a lot of moisture without feeling gross on your lips, which is especially helpful with the weather were I live being so drastic at times. It lasts a good amount of time. I am constantly interacting with my lips (drinking, eating, touching, etc.) so most lip balms don't last very long. I found that with this balm I didn't have to apply it nearly as often. It was great.

I've found that it's best to apply the lip balm and then wait a bit before drinking, eating, etc. to almost allow it to adhere to your lips nicely. Doing it this way allowed the balm to last even longer before I felt the need to reapply it.

This lip balm comes in a great little box that shows nothing sexual of any kind, so there is no need to worry if you are giving it to someone as a gift. There's a cutout so you can see the balm container inside the box as well as the label on the lid of the container.



The label on the lid of the container is rather cute, and the lid itself is nice and secure. I carry my balm with me in my purse and have never had, nor do I expect to have, a problem with the container coming open while it's floating around in there.
