Rollerball Eyeshadow is travel sized, perfect for adding to your purse for touch ups during the day or evening. They are a wonderful way to add a bit of shimmer and shine to take a muted daytime look into he evening. These eyeshadows are highly pigmented, just apply by rolling the ball over the eyelid and blend with your finger. Add a couple of shades for some glamor and definition.

Add a bit of color and shimmer to your lip gloss, lipstick or lip balm, roll over your finger and apply to the full area of your lips. Want a bit of shimmer on your skin? Apply with your fingertips to highlight your cheekbones, forehead and shoulders. Dab a bit in your cleavage area for a bit of shimmer that will definitely draw some wanted attention.

The eyeshadow is very thick, powdery and is highly pigmented. The shimmer is very elegant, but can be a bit too much if you do not use either your fingertip or an eyeshadow sponge to blend it into your eyelid. I prefer to use an applicator, my fingers aren't very reliable anymore since my rheumatoid arthritis has gotten more severe.

These look great when paired with a matte eyeshadow, layered and blended softly together to create a dramatic, sun kissed look or to add a bit of shine for an unexpected evening out. The powder is a little thick and fluffy, I noticed some residue on the sides of my nose after I applied the eyeshadow to my upper lids. I suggest having a damp tissue to catch the little fluffs after you are finished.

The feel of the eyeshadow is medium heavy, probably due to the heavy pigmentation. It is soft and silky feeling under your fingertips, but after it is blended in it feels almost natural. I did get a bit of bleed into the corners of my eyes after a few hours, but that was not too big of an issue.


Powdery and thick application.

Do NOT taste any of the eyeshadows included in this kit! They are not meant for ingesting.

The eyeshadow has a faint powdery smell, reminiscent of either face powder or the powdered mineral foundation. The smell was not noticeable until I held the eyeshadow up to my nose. It is a sweeter version of Cover Girl--not quite the Noxema aroma.

I received the St. Tropez Sunkissed Collection. These are very natural toned, go well with the suntanned look or darker skin and add a bit of the sun drenched tan colors to your eyes. There are four colors, specially designed to blend well and compliment each other and your eyes. This is a warm toned set, perfect for olive, darker and yellow toned skin.

The four colors are:
Bronze: a darker, shimmery, brown toned copper -
Riviera: a bright, shimmery, copper -
Sunshine: a lighter, shimmery, white beige.
Bardot: a creamy, shimmery, tanned ivory -

These eyeshadows did last a very long time. I put them on in the morning and barely had to re-blend and touch the colors up at about 3pm. To remove the eyeshadow, wipe gently with a damp cloth or make up remover. I always add a bit of moisturizer under the shadow to help it last longer, stay in place and for easy clean up.

This did flake off on my pillow--I left it on just to see what would happen. The shimmer on my eyes was very noticeable, but it did tone down after blending and wearing the eyeshadows for a few minutes. I really enjoy adding one or two of these colors to my normal, matte shadows as a nice accent. It is easy to overapply the shadow--but just blend in or wipe gently with a dry tissue to remove the excess.

The box for the kit is very elegant and fun, the gold, silver and pink colors complimenting each other elegantly. The front has a clear plastic window so you may see the shades in the box. This really helps in choosing the correct color to apply. The back has a short, but straightforward introduction and suggestion for use, small ingredient list and a few other bits of information.

This Rollerball Eyeshadow kit would make a wonderful gift item for any woman that likes a bit of elegance and shimmer. The small box measures 2 1/2" by 2 3/4" and is 1/2" deep. You may store the kit in the original box, a make up bag or in your purse.

The four small vials of eyeshadow hold .06 ounces of eyeshadow per vial. It is a bit smaller than a chapstick tube, and they are each very beautifully decorated. The writing and vine design is in gold on the clear bottles. Twist the top off and gently roll the eyeshadow across the eyelid. Replace the cap and blend to your preference. The vials leak out the top after the cap is removed, so take care when removing the top.
