Sugar lips - lip balm discontinued by Erotic Cosmetics - review by Kiir

I adore lip gloss and lipstick, especially when it's edible. So when I happened across Sugar Lips, I was thrilled. I ordered three flavors - Lick My Strawberry, Whip Me Cream, and Squeeze My Melons.

My tube of Whip Me Cream arrived broken, but the other two were in good condition. I couldn't find a list of ingredients, so if you have any allergies to things commonly found in other lipsticks, I'd suggest avoiding this, or doing a spot test before using on your lips.

While they don't have any real flavor, I still found they made my lips look and feel sexy, so these would be good for a date; or even kissing as they don't have the bad taste some other lipsticks and glosses do.

They glided on easily, and didn't come off when I drank, ate, or when I wiped my mouth. They were a tad sticky, but that wore off after a minutes of wearing. When I ran a finger over my lips, they felt soft and smooth.

Honestly, none of these had much flavor to them. Each tasted pretty much like regular lipstick, with faint sweet undertones. It's not a bad taste, though, just rather bland.

All of them smelled pretty amazing, though. Squeeze My Melons had the most authentic scent to me, smelling just like freshly cut melons. Whip My Cream smelled sugary and like whipped cream. Like whipped cream, though, the scent wasn't that strong, but it was pleasant. Lick My Strawberry was my favorite of the three - it smelled more like a candy strawberry scent then real strawberries, but I really liked it.

Both the melon and strawberry lipsticks lasted for a few hours. These lipsticks are made to be long lasting. Each came on a shade or two lighter then the color of the lipstick. Squeeze My Melons was a bright pink on my lips, and looked very pretty. Lick My Strawberry was a lovely raisin red, and when I swiped a little of the Whip Me Cream onto my lips, I couldn't even tell it was there.

I had to wash off the lipstick to remove the color completely. I enjoyed wearing both the Melon and Strawberry flavor - they smelled great, and made my lips soft. The lack of flavor was disappointing, so if you're looking for an edible lipstick, though, you'll want to look somewhere else.

I wasn't exactly pleased with the packaging. Sugar Lips lipstick comes packaged in a rather cheap looking and dull silver tube. On the bottom of the tube is the name of the lipstick flavor and details about the manufacturer. When you pull off the top, there is a sticker wrapped around the tube with a sassy remark on it, as well as the company logo. On the tube of Squeeze My Melons, it read 'When lips meet, you'll feel the heat!' I thought it was a cute touch, but the stickers come off easily if you don't like them.

While I like the color and scent, I doubt I'll buy this product again. I've found lip-gloss for the same price that actually has a nice taste to it, and also smells/looks good.
