Storage container discontinued
by For your nymphomation

A cozy little place for your toys… sort of secure too.

All in all, the toy box serves its purpose well, and is a good place to store your toys to keep them out of eye shot. So if you need something to just keep your toys out of sight from your kids, or other such visitors, I would suggest this toy box if you need to store larger items you can look into the flogger cases also sold on the site. A good purchase for those reasons alone.

Pros
Firm but flexible side walls, and internal straps make toy storage easy.
Cons
The included lock is really kind of a joke, not meant to keep the resourceful out at all.

extremely useful review
The BigFoot box was a gift for Christmas, and upon opening it I was at first a little disappointed. The name I thought implied something a little bigger, the box itself is about the size a large shoe box. I don’t know why I thought it would be bigger. I guess it was just the implication of being called the Big Foot storage container. Still not being one to judge a book, or box, by it’s cover I opened it up and started looking around inside.

I wasn’t disappointed with the inside of the box, it has a lot of little straps anchored to the sides to store things like bottles of lubricant or smaller toys. It also has a big open space that serves as the bulk of the box, that is the right size for most vibrators, and even a pair of cuffs will fit nicely in this area. The lid of the box also has a set of elastic straps; personally I find it holds a blindfold very well.

The box itself is made of what looks like a fake leather that is over a flexible plastic shell. This allows your box to keep its shape, while being flexible enough to be slide into tight places or under a bed that might be a little smaller than it is. The interior of the case is lined with a shiny, slick, material and looks fairly durable.

When the box first arrived the zipper was pretty stiff but over the months it has loosened up to be easily zipped and unzipped. The zipper is set up really well and has a nice locking set up. The locks are actually set into the zipper, so you couldn’t just break the ends of the zipper off to get in if the case is locked.

Now to the interesting parts of the toy box, for starters the size. Being that I am into more BDSM style toys, there is a very limited place for larger toys like floggers, whips, cuffs, and paddles. So I have to only keep the smaller things in there, pinwheels, a set of cuffs, and vibrators and dildos. While this isn’t a bad thing, it is something to note if you are looking for a place to keep your floggers and whips.

Also on the off chance that you store toys with batteries in them, something I wouldn’t recommend especially not for long periods of time, then make sure they aren’t in a place where they can get turned on. The soft wall of the case doesn’t stop you from pressing it in and hitting a button. From the one time it has happened to me, it’s a real pain in ass to have to frantically unlock a case that you just locked up and turn a toy off before either you run the batteries out or someone notices.

Ok now to the biggest down side of this toy, the lock. This lock really does seem like its something that you would pull out of one of those quarter machines at the grocery store. It serves the bare minimum purpose of a lock on the zipper. The covering for the internal mechanism for the lock is easy to slide up, allowing you to trip the simple locking mechanism, and have the box open in no time. This can serve as a great fail safe if for some reason you lock yourself out of your toy box, but it also defeats the purpose of a lock for say keeping your partner out of the toys until you are there. So if you need the lock to be functional you would do well to get another one.
Follow-up commentary
In the past year that I have owned the Big Foot toy box it has held up well. My only complaint still stands with the lock that was originally with the toy chest. I have since removed and replaced the lock with another that is much better. The material has held up well to the rigors of being transported and being moved across country. The only problem I am having now is with size. I simply have too many toys for the small box to contain them all any longer. If you need a small box for just a handful of toys then this one will work well for you. It is inconspicuous and sturdy.

Thanks for the review. I have a few of their cases, and while the locks are usually enough to deter the merely curious, I use a small luggage lock when I really need to keep people out.
