At first glance (and given the new cap style), I was a little worried that this original masturbating lube might function as glue. Though the lubricant does offer a tiny bit of stringiness, I'm satisfied that it isn't sticky. However, it is also rather thin and will run. That being said, this lubricant has many uses, but anal play is not one of them. Also, since the lubricant is water-based, it won't be effective for shower play. Last, but not least, this lubricant isn't one that I would recommend for oral sex. Some of the recommended uses include being used in conjunction with a sleeve or on genital areas. Even though the lubricant is marketed more to the male consumer group, this masturbating lube is also vaginal safe. Finally, it can be used safely with condoms.

Zero Tolerance's original masturbating lube is thin, and it will run. If put between my thumb and forefinger, it can be stretched a bit due to its mild stringiness. However, it is not particularly sticky nor does it leave a residue. This is a very smooth lubricant. I would suggest only twisting the cap very slightly in order to control the amount of lube that comes out more easily. While the cap is very similar to an Elmer's glue cap, the lubricant is maybe half as thick as Elmer's glue. This means that things can get messy quickly unless care is used. However, things would be even messier if this was the typical flip top cap where the only control given to the user is how hard he/she squeezes the sides of the bottle.

My least favorite thing about this lubricant is the smell. It's fairly strong. I'm not sure exactly what makes it smell kind of bitter, but I can give you the ingredients list. Maybe someone who has done a little more lubricant research can share. Also, it may even be a mixture of a couple of ingredients...I just know that it doesn't have an attractive scent. Ingredients: glycerin, purified water, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, propyl paraben, and methyl paraben. I did not try this lubricant based on the smell, but oral sex isn't one of the recommended uses of this product anyway.

This lubricant stays slick for a long time...at least long enough for the average play session. I didn't have to reapply it, and a little went a long way. The bottle says to wash the product off with soap and water unless it is used on toys. Then, Zero Tolerance has a specific masturbator cleaner. My favorite thing about this product is that it is very slick. My least favorite thing about this product is the smell. Luckily, I don't have a sensitivity to glycerine. Some believe that parabens are cancer-causing, but I already come into contact with half a dozen things that could be cancer-causing (my cellphone, my microwave, the sun...). At this point, parabens are still in shampoos, deodorants, etc. So, it is likely that if you don't go out of your way to avoid them, you're coming into contact with them anyway.

I guess that means that they stand behind their products. The label on the bottle is not exactly discreet about anything though. There is a monkey rubbing his tail in a dazed frenzy of sorts on the label. Underneath of the Zero Tolerance logo, it says "Come Hard," in fairly large print.
