Body Heat Activated, Changes from Thick to Slick

Forplay Lube DeLuxe Cream is suitable for both vaginal, anal, and stroking use. However, since it contains glycerin, it may be best to avoid for vaginal use if you have a history of irritation or yeast infections. Being a water-based lube, it is well suited for use with silicone toys as well as condoms. Being as thick and viscous as it is, it lends itself nicely to anal use. The down side to being water-based is that it will wash away if used in the shower.

Out of the tube, the lube is very thick and viscous. As your body heat warms the lube, it will slowly liquefy which produces a very slick texture. Although it is quite thick, it never has glutinous consistency to it. Once liquefied, it provides a slick texture and looks like it should be oily or greasy; it actually leaves your skin feeling rather nice after it absorbs into it.

The tube does not specify any favor or fragrance on the package. The lube has a fairly neutral odor. The odor was not overpowering or offensive. The initial taste is rather sweet. This is probably due to the glycerin content which reminded me somewhat of honey. However, this initial sweetness changed after a few seconds to a slightly bitter aftertaste.

We primarily used this lube for pegging. Over the course of a 15-20 minute session, we had to reapply lube to the toy once and sometimes not at all. I feel this is the strongest aspect of this lube.

This lube actually absorbs into the skin nicely. Therefore, you could just rub it in like lotion if you wanted. Being water-based, it does clean off easily with a quick shower. It also cleans up easily off of toys.

The packaging consists of a tube similar to a lotion bottle. The cap is a flip-top style which also serves as the base of the tube; it can be kept upright. There was a tamper evident seal at the opening of the tube which, in order to remove, required removal of cap. I have been very pleased with the design of the package and have had no issues with leakage.

I would consider the packaging to be fairly discreet. If looked at from across the room, one might mistake it for just a bottle of body lotion. Unfortunately, if examined closer, it is hard to miss the work "LUBE" in 1/2" high letters at the top of the tube.

The text on the back of the tube provides some information regarding the features of the product and some warnings regarding irritation. It is nice to know that it is manufactured to pharmaceutical standards.

The ingredients are listed as follows:
Deionized water, glycerin, glycol fusion, cellulose gum, chlorhexidine gluconate and potassium sorbate (preservative).

I have found this to be an excellent lube for anal play. It doesn't seem to absorb into the body as fast as some other lubes I have used. My wife does not use this lube vaginally as she is susceptible to irritation. She finds a glycerin-free lube works better for her.
