Toko organica lubricant - lubricant discontinued by Shunga Erotic Art - review by ~LaUr3n~

About two or three years ago, I was graced by the Organica line from Shunga. I loved Shunga already, but their organic line really sealed the deal for me. This particular product is a lubricant made with certified organic ingredients. Unfortunately, organic doesn't mean it can't produce any reactions. Note that this lubricant does contain glycerin which can cause UTIs in women who are sensitive to the ingredient. Hopefully you aren't because Organica lubricant feels incredibly natural and smooth. It has no smell and only a slight taste. It is compatible with all material types and is also safe for use with latex condoms. As long as you have some of your own natural lubricant, this lube will stay slick and lovely.

INGREDIENTS: Water (aqua), Glycerin, Proanediol, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Na4 EDTA

-Glycerin: liquid base and moisturizer
-Proanediol: organic petroleum free glycol
-Hydroxyethyl Cellulose: thickening agent
-Na4 EDTA: Chelating Agent

The lubricant is thicker than most water based lubricants. I can drop a single bead onto the back of my hand and it doesn't run until I til my hand almost 90 degrees. It smooths around nicely and stays put. It is easy to dispense out of the bottle and only a few drops are needed for most jobs. As you use the lubricant having a little bit of your own natural lubricant will help this last longer. It can also be rejuvenated with water or spit. It maintains smoothness until it is exposed to air for a long time. Then it starts to get a little stciky. The good news is that even if it does get sticky it does absorb into the skin really well.

There isn't supposed to be a scent to this lubricant but it does smell sweet. It smells a little like the rest of the line with a faint hint of green apples. There is a bitter taste to the lubricant, but it isn't terribly strong.

Vaginal toys: This lubricant is pretty great for vaginal toys as long as they are not a super porous material. Materials like glass, wood, steel, and plastic are best, but even toys made of TPR and TPE are fine. If you are using the toy for a long time, you might need to reapply. What seems to not work well is porous materials like cyberskin. That causes the lubricant to get sticky in a shorter period of time unless you use a hell of a lot which can get quite messy. It doesn't leave a visual grime on my toys, but does need to be washed off.

Vaginal sex: This lubricant works very well with condoms or without and mixes remarkably with my natural lubricant too. As long as I'm not bone dry to start with this lubricant feels great and lasts a good amount of time usually long enough for average sessions. The lubricant has never caused any irritation for my partner or I.

Anal play/toys/sex: This lubricant is okay for inserting anal lug type toys, but isn't great for thrusting unless the toy is a steel or glass. I prefer to use other lubricants for anal play. As for anal sex, I don't like this for that. It feels too sticky when exposed to air and isn't thick enough in my opinion.

Water play: If the toy has a lot of texture, this is decent for shower play. Otherwise, it doesn't stick around long enough to work well. It washes away easily. This is a plus for clean up though!

The bottle is gorgeous! It comes in a generously sized plastic bottle with a flip top. I have had the flip top break before on other bottles from this company, but this one hasn't. It does leak a little if it is stored on its side. The bottle is 5.5 fluid ounces (165ml). The front says Toko in large letters and in smaller ones below it says lubricant. At the bottle it describes the organic nature. The bottle is clear but a colored sticker in the back can be seen through. With a green theme there is a Shunga Art piece of a couple embracing. I would say this bottle is discreet because it is pretty and can hide among other hygiene items fairly well.
