Wicked Ultra Heat is a warming silicone based lubricant. Silicone lubricants are most often used by those looking for something longer lasting than water based lubricants. They don't need reapplied as often, which makes them a good choice for longer sex sessions. Additionally, they don't rinse off as soon as they come into contact with water, which makes them the perfect choice for sex in the shower.

This lube is both paraben and glycerin free, for those who are making a conscious effort to avoid these ingredients. Some people may still experience some sensitivity to the warming aspects of this product, as certain people have issues with specialty lubes like this while others do not. Personally, warming lubes work very well for me, but tingling ones are very irritating. This is something you really have to do some self-experimenting with to see what you like. Now, I'm no professional in this matter, but I'm guessing one of the warming components is the cinnamon oil!

Now usually, silicone lubricants cannot be used with silicone toys. However, Wicked's website has an article posted bragging that "Wicked Ultras are safe for use with latex and are compatible with all toy materials." Therefore, I would say the only limitation to this lube would be personal preference! There really are no downsides.

Wicked Ultra Heat comes in a pump top styled bottle. The bottle is of nice quality and can be stored on its side without leaking. When you turn the pump to the right it locks and when turned to the left, it is ready to dispense. It can easily be done with just one hand. The product will come out very readily and the texture is on the thinner side, so use a cupped hand or just apply it directly to the needed area. One pump will be enough if you just want to cover the tip of penis or toy. However, it takes 2 pumps to cover the average penis or toy from top to bottom. Since the product will run, make sure that you spread it around with your hands. It will create a thin, greasy layer of lubrication and you will begin to feel it warm up.

This lubricant is labeled as being fragrance free. I agree with this claim; it does have a very faint chemical odor if it's right under your nose, but nothing noticeable. If any of this product gets in your mouth, you will feel a quick flash of heat on your tongue followed by an aftertaste of oils and cinnamon. It's not particularly pleasant, so I would avoid consuming it.

This is a long-lasting product that will not need to be continually re-applied. It spreads out into a thin layer, which gives it a natural feel during use. The heating aspects felt good and were just bordering on too hot for me. It wasn't quite to the point that I would be uncomfortable, but it definitely has some power behind it! Let's just say any hotter would be too much. As far as its staying power in water, this lubricant can definitely hold its own for sex in the shower. However, I am not so sure it would be the best lubricant for use with body parts submerged under water, such as in a hot tub, pool, lake, ocean, etc. After use, this lube can be cleaned off with soap and water. It is not hard to wash off and, happily, it does not leave a residue. However, your skin will have a moisturized feel as if you just applied some lotion.

I love the slick look of Wicked's line of lubricants. This is initially what drew me in to try this product. The bottle is opaque black plastic with lettering on the front in silver and metallic orange. On the back of the bottle is all the product information, including a description, product bullet points, brief directions, cautions, and ingredients. Underneath, there is a barcode for smartphones and the product's website. The bottle is recyclable.

Unfortunately, the only amount of this product you can get is 2 oz. This was disappointing to me. I realize that silicone lubes cost more than water based, but the Aqua flavored Wicked lube I own was double the size and a couple dollars cheaper. It seems like a rather large disparity to me.

My first experience with this lube was with Casper, one of my glass dildos. I used two pumps of Ultra Heat, spreading a thin layer from top to bottom. The toy glided in effortlessly and warmed up quickly. I did not have to reapply any lube during my session, which was wonderful. When I was done, I used an antibacterial hand soap to clean off my dildo. The lube came off easily and completely. There was no residue left on the glass whatsoever. I also want to mention that I did feel a hot sensation inside my vagina after using this lube, which lasted about 10 minutes or so. This is not a deterrent to me personally, but it may bother other people. In my opinion, using this lube was definitely a positive experience and I am looking forward to sharing it with my partner.
