Lukewarm Lube

While looking for a new interesting lube for hand jobs, my partner and I stumbled across this and decided that the price was right and we'd give it a go. It's not terrible, it got the job done, but it really came across as "lukewarm" rather than "hot."

Use

This "Warming" style lubricant is meant to increase sensitivity and add excitement to sexual activity. I purchased this with the intention of using it to give my partner hand jobs. The reason we are not going to use it for vaginal play is because there are just too many concerns with the ingredients. Among other things, it contains cinnamon flavor (which can be an irritant), propyl- and methyl-paraben (preservatives, both of which can be allergenic), and glycerin (which can cause or worse yeast infections in women). I would not recommend this for insertion.

It could work well for sensual massage but is a bit sticky! The warming action is fairly subtle when used on non-genital body parts. It seems to be fairly good for hand-jobs, but I find that it dries out quickly and gets rather sticky.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The warming lubricant is rather thin and runny. It feels viscous but is difficult to keep in one place due to its runny nature. While it starts out slick, it quickly dries up and becomes a bit sticky.

Taste / Aroma

There is a faint cinnamon aroma but otherwise not much in the way of smell. I would imagine that it tastes like cinnamon, but since there are things in this lube which are allergenic to me I could not personally taste it. The boyfriend says that it tastes "like lube."
    • Light taste
    • No smell

Performance

For the purpose I intended it, it works passably. We were hoping for a little more warming sensation and were underwhelmed at how often it needed to be reapplied for hand-job purposes. However, I can't say that it is *bad*, just not quite what my partner and I were hoping for.
    • Allergy concerns
    • Dries up too fast
    • Gets sticky

Packaging

It is in a clear plastic bottle with a lid that pops open like a shampoo bottle, making reapplying quite easy. There were no instructions included in the packaging and while the bottle itself is discreet enough, it *does* say "WARMING LUBE" on it, so I wouldn't say that it is very discreet in the long run.
    • Does not leak
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet

Personal comments

It was interesting giving a warming lube a try specifically for hand-job purposes, but I think that in the future my partner and I will stick to old standards of plain, unflavored, unscented lubricants for sexy-time fun.
