"Soothe" Lube

While this Vegan lubricant is made of organic material, it is best used for male masturbation or anal sex because it contains glycerin. However, it also contains aloe, which can help soothe skin. This may be good for those who find anal sex typically uncomfortable. Be sure to reapply as needed, though, as this lubricant doesn't last as long as intended.

Use

This natural anti-bacterial lubricant is best used for male masturbation or anal sex. It is Vegan, but contains plant-based glycerin, which can be problematic for vaginas. For hand-jobs, this will provide a nice slick lube that also soothes the skin. For anal sex, the soothing effect may also help those who generally find anal sex uncomfortable. Just be aware, you will need to reapply when needed, and avoid letting it drip into any vaginas involved.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The Soothe lubricant has the consistency of a thinner hair gel. I find it generally thick for lubricant, but I mostly use silicone lubes. This lubricant is easy to pour and stays in place pretty well without running down the skin, though it does run if held on a steep angle.

After a few seconds when held on a 90-degree angle.

After fifteen seconds when held at a 90-degree angle.

Once on skin it can feel a bit sticky, which I don't generally like in lubricant. It has a slightly cooling sensation on skin when exposed to cold air.

Taste / Aroma

There is a light bark-like smell to this lubricant, which isn't really surprising when you realize that it contains guava bark. There is also a light plant-like taste to this product, which isn't good. I do not suggest using this particular lubricant for oral sex.

Performance

Many organic lubricants have a performance problem, I've come to find. This one is no exception, as I have found that it dries up too quickly and can become sticky when rubbed on skin. You will need to reapply this lubricant during use, especially for anal sex. If you are ever in doubt about having to reapply, go on the safe side and add a bit more to avoid injury or discomfort.

The good thing is this lubricant doesn't have to be washed off with soap. Rinsing after use should do the trick to get any remaining lubricant off the skin's surface. It's also compatible with latex, so this product is safe to use with latex condoms.

Packaging

The 4 oz (120ml) bottle is travel-friendly and does not leak, which is always nice. It is a push-down cap and needs to be squeezed to get lubricant to come out. The bottle comes in a pink box with some information about ingredients and some positive aspects of the product.

The bottle looks very natural with the guava bark featured on the front, but isn't discreet, as it says "anal lubricant" on the box and bottle in red lettering. I do not suggest keeping the box, as it is not needed. The information on the box is also printed on the back of the bottle itself.

Special Features

The soothing effect is very nice to have available when working with sensitive skin of the penis, or those not comfortable with anal sex without lubricant. Since this product contains aloe, it has the ability to soothe skin as it works to lubricate the surface.

Also note that if stored in cool air, this lubricant will feel very cold when applied. Even in my dorm, it gets chilly, and this lube often feels cold to the touch at first. Just be mindful of the temperature before you squirt it on your skin, and maybe rub it in your hands before applying to genitals.
