Lace bra and panty set - bra and panty set discontinued by Coquette - review by Kitka

This cute lingerie set just arrived in the mail yesterday and I couldn't wait to try it on. The box it came in was filled with recyclable brown paper that was crumpled to keep things from moving around. Also included in the box was the 2012 Eden Fantasys catalog, the invoice for the lingerie set and an advertising card for Fun Factory's Kegel exercising kit. The lace bra and panty set were sealed in a plastic bag, the bra on a Coquette hanger. The panties had a tag pinned to it displaying the same pictures of the lingerie set as they are shown here on EdenFantasys.

I was very pleased when I opened the plastic bag, took the bra and panties out and saw that they looked exactly as they do in the pictures on the product description. I would say the packaging isn't very discreet but the box it all came in was, and could be used for anything, gifting or packing something away.

The lace pattern on the bra and on the panties don't match at all other than them being both black, but it still goes together nicely.

So, after noticing all of this and snapping some pictures with my cellphone, I put on the panties. They have a cute little detachable bow. Sewn onto the back of the bow is a little pin that easily removes it from the panties.

I ordered a size Medium for this set and was very pleased when the panties fit well. They felt a little scratchy at first, but were actually quite comfortable for a non-stretchy lace thong. The leg bands and waist band have strips of elastic that help with the fit and level of comfort. Also, I think they look really sexy on me if I do say so myself. I'd say the only smell to the panties was that new clothing smell, which I'm sure will dissipate once you wash them.

As for the bra, I knew once I started to put it on that it wasn't going to fit properly. Now, that may be due to the fact that I'm a DD cup, but I did measure more than a few times and every time my bust came out as 37", which they say fits in a Medium in the size chart. I beg to differ as I was busting out of the bra all over but mainly over the cups themselves since they aren't super sturdy. Also, I think the straps of the bra are too far off to the sides of the cups to be helpful. The straps are very stretchy, which means they don't aid in supporting the "girls" at all, and the bottom band of the bra is so loose I can pull it probably about 8" or more from my body in the back! It also tends to ride up which defeats the purpose of a bra entirely. The only smell to the bra, just like the panties, is that new clothing smell.

In my experience bras are supposed to be somewhat tight in the band so that the support is not left entirely up to the straps themselves, but this bra was definitely not constructed with that in mind. Now it may just be because my breasts are too large to fit properly, so maybe this bra would work out better for someone who has a smaller cup size and a bigger band size, C cup or smaller and a size 36 band or larger I'd say.

The way to wash these items would be gentle hand-washing with a mild soap/cleanser and then lay flat to dry.

Honestly, I'd be very disappointed in the price for the set just because the bra is so horribly constructed.

Aside from all the negative points about the bra, it did have its uses. I put the bra and panties on and donned a bathrobe over them (discretion because of children) and waited for my husband to arrive home from work. He couldn't wait to see what the set looked like on me.

He came in the door and I greeted him with a sinful smile on my face while I opened the robe. His jaw just dropped and he stared for a little while. Once he regained himself, he said he loved how it looked on me even though the bra wasn't cooperating. He's such a sweetheart.

Needless to say, we had some amazingly satisfying sex after he showered and ate dinner!

After wearing this set for the first time I knew the bra wasn't going to stay around. I just could not get it to fit properly so I ended up throwing it out. Now the thong I never really had a problem with other than it gets a little itchy, but those I still have and occasionally wear for some sexy time with the hubby.
